This ingredient is actually more common than you thought; sometimes it falls under a different name other than cochineal, but also “crimson lake” and “natural red 4.” Surprisingly enough you can also find this ingredient in your strawberry flavored drinks at Starbucks, so vegans and vegetarians beware.

So there is no worry or list of what you can and cannot use. You can use it all! Even though the options may fall shorter than the wide selection of other brands, the quality does not.
