Ingredients: Apples (any kind will work), 1 1/2 cups Sugar, 1/4 cup Light Corn Syrup, 1/2 cup water, 3 drops Orange Food Coloring, orange licorice
Directions: Push the wooden sticks into the apple stems to allow them to be dipped for later. Then in a saucepan, whisk together sugar, corn syrup, water, and orange food coloring. Bring this concoction to a boil without stirring. Continue to cook the syrup, without stirring, until the temperature reaches around 300°F. Remove the heat from the mixture. Dip the apples into the mix, allowing any excess syrup to drip back into the pan, then place the apple on the prepared cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining apples. While still hot, press on thin strips of orange licorice to create pumpkin veins. Let the coated apples to cool completely at room temperature for about 1 hour. Once you’re done you will have candy apples almost as sweet as pumpkin spice!

Early in the cooking process, wipe down any sugar crystals that form on the sides of the pan with a wet pastry brush. Continue to cook the syrup, without stirring, until the temperature reaches around 300°F. This will take about 20 minutes. Immediately remove the pan from heat and stir in gel food coloring. After boiling action has ceased, stir in the cotton-candy flavoring (whatever kind should work). Tilt the pan to create a deep pool of sugar syrup. Dip each apple into the mixture, allowing any excess syrup to drip back into the pan, then place the apple on the prepared cookie sheet. Let the coated apples to cool completely for about an hour. Place some actual cotton candy for garnish and serve this sweet treat perfect for any fall festival setting!
Torn between whether to make candy apples or s‘mores this fall? Why not have both!
Ingredients:
Directions: Insert wooden sticks into the stem end of each apple, pressing in only about a 1/4 into the apple. Place apples on a cookie sheet covered with lightly greased aluminum foil. Heat caramel until fully melted (usually takes about 2 minutes) and stir in the vanilla extract. Then, dip each apple into the caramel. Combine the miniature marshmallows and graham crackers on a dinner plate. Roll the apples into this mixture to get that s’mores coating. Place on the aluminum foil and chill. Put the chocolate chips in a bowl and cook in the microwave for 60 seconds. Stir and if necessary place back in the microwave if not all the chips are fully melted. Once the mixture is fully smooth, drizzle the caramel over the apples and return them to the refrigerator until ready to serve. When you’re done, you’ll have some candy apples perfect for sitting around a fall bonfire!

Sometimes you just can’t finish a full candy apple and these lollipops give you the perfect bite-size taste!
Ingredients: granny smith apples, 2 cups white sugar, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring, 2 tablespoons, lemon juice, candy thermometer
Directions: Prepare a large bowl of water with a pinch of salt mixed into it. Peel each apple, then use a melon ball scooper to scoop ball shapes from each apple. When this is complete, pat dry the apple balls with a paper towel and set on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Stick a lollipop stick into each, then set in the freezer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the candy coating. In order to do this, add the sugar, water, food coloring, and lemon to a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring once to combine. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and continue cooking until a candy thermometer reads around 300°F then remove from heat. Dip each pop in the mix and distribute it evenly. Set upright on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. When finished coating the lollipops, pop them back in the freezer for a few minutes to fully set. Once they’re done cooling off, you will have yourself some pretty cool apple lollipops, which work perfectly as a snack with friends or even as a party treat!
This candy apple idea will be a hit at any Halloween party!
Ingredients: Apples, 200 g white chocolate chips, 200 g dark chocolate chips, 4 popsicle sticks, Baking paper
Directions: Push a popsicle stick into each apple. Melt the dark chocolate chips in a small bowl over a small pan of barely simmering water. Distribute the chocolate onto the apple by dipping it in the bowl, covering it completely. Repeat with all dark chocolate apples you plan on making after. Then you’re going to want to melt the white chocolate in the same way as the dark and coat more apples in the same way. Again do this for as many white apples as you plan on having. Then place all the coated apples in the fridge for 20 minutes to fully set. Once the coating has set, put the white chocolate back over the heat to melt and place half of it in a small icing bag with a tiny nozzle. Decorate a dark chocolate apple with a web-like pattern (doesn’t have to be perfectly even…depends on what vibe you’re going for). Repeat procedure for the next dark chocolate apple. Then melt the remaining dark chocolate and repeat the above procedure for the white chocolate apples (do in whatever order…it won’t matter). Allow to set and then serve to your guests these spooky candy apples!
