There is nothing quite like that juicy flavor of a burger cooked out on a hot grill. Crafty burger recipes only make this experience better. Whatever your favorite burger flavor, there is a burger recipe out there that is waiting to blow you away. Check out these crafty burger recipes for ideas on what to make on your grill next!

1. Fresh Italian Burger

This juicy burger is loaded with Italian flavors. The beef is blended with egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Once cooked, these are topped with cooked pancetta (a fatty salami), caramelized onions, arugula, cheese, roasted tomatoes, basil, and lemon pepper aioli. The aioli sauce is crafted from a blend of mayonnaise, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and black pepper. The result is one fantastic burger.

To begin, make the aioli by mixing together mayonnaise, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and black pepper in a bowl, then set aside. Next, cook the pancetta in a frying pan until crispy, then set aside on paper towels. Spread cherry tomatoes in a single layer on a foiled baking sheet, drizzle with oil, roast for several minutes, then remove from oven and let cool. To caramelize onions, cook in a frying pan with sugar, salt, and pepper until golden brown, then set aside. Combine egg, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper with raw beef, shape into patties, and grill. Stack on bun bottom caramelized onions, then arugula, then the burger, then cheese, then pancetta, then roasted tomatoes, then basil, then aioli.

2. Hot Stuffed Mama Burger

There is so much going on with this burger, and all of it is good. Stuffed with cheese, onions, and green chilis, and seasoned with steak seasoning and garlic, the burger patty alone is a wonderful thing to enjoy. Topped with teriyaki sauce, grilled pineapple, and lettuce, the sweet and spicy flavors in this crafty burger recipe will have your friends wanting your cooking secrets.

For this recipe, slice and saute a sweet onion, then set aside to cool. Next, combine the beef, steak seasoning, and garlic, and shape into an even amount of very thin patties. Place cheese, onions, and green chilis on half of these patties, then top with the bare patties and seal around the edges. While these are grilling, also grill pineapple slices until slightly charred, and spread butter on buns and grill to toast. Add teriyaki sauce to all bun pieces, then layer pineapple, then lettuce, then burger between buns.

3. Ultimate Burger

This recipe incorporates smoky ketchup made from ketchup and smoked paprika and caramelized onions made from red onions, balsamic vinegar, and fresh thyme. You get to make these special toppings, and that’s not even all! The burger patty is seasoned with eggs, Worcestershire sauce, Herbs de Provence (a combination of a lot of common herbs), and fresh parsley. Then the burger is also topped with lettuce, Dijon mustard, and cheese to give it those final touches. 

To make, saute onions in vegetable oil, salt, and pepper until browned, then add vinegar, cook until vinegar evaporates, and set aside. Next, combine ketchup and paprika in a bowl and set aside. Mix together eggs, Worcestershire sauce, Herbs de Province, parsley, salt, pepper, and beef, form into patties, and grill. 4. Mushroom and Onion Stuffed Burger

Stuffed burgers are always a special treat, and putting these toppings inside is phenomenally good. The ingredients list is pretty simple, including portabella mushroom caps, sweet onion, zested and juiced lemon, and rosemary. The burger toppings are left up to you, so the opportunity for craftiness is wide open.

To prepare, place sliced onions in grill safe pan and grill, placing mushrooms directly on the grill and cooking simultaneously. After cooking, remove from grill and add to onions lemon zest, lemon juice, pepper, and rosemary. Form an even number of thin beef patties and place one mushroom and some onions on half, topping with the other beef patties and sealing edges. This crafty burger recipe does not require much work, but it does pack a flavor punch. The beef is mixed with shredded cheese, Santa Fe seasoning, chili powder, and salt. The recipe only adds salsa to the burger assembly, but if you want to throw in some lettuce, it is probably a welcome addition.

I know, the jokes. Well, why not use them when serving these crafty burger recipes to your friends? In this one, you make the salsa, you make the queso, and, of course, you make the burger. The salsa is a mixture of red wine vinegar, vegetable oil, chipotle chili in adobo, plum tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, and salt. The queso is made of butter, flour, milk, shredded pepper jack cheese, salt, and pepper. Topped with these and sliced avocado, your friends may take your burger and use your joke against you.

For the salsa, combine vinegar, oil, chili, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and salt in a bowl and refrigerate. For the queso, melt butter in a stovetop pan, then add flour and stir. This is another pretty easy but really good crafty burger recipe. The beef is not seasoned; the insides do the talking. Stuffed with ranch dressing, shredded cheese, and crumbled bacon, who needs anything else in the burger? Topped with lettuce and whatever else you want, this stuffed burger changes a traditional recipe into something special.

Sorry ladies, there is no actual cowboy in this recipe. It is a turkey burger recipe, though, which is a good alternative to beef now and then. The turkey is seasoned with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and egg. This is stuffed with spicy jack cheese and topped with bacon, barbeque sauce, and fried onions. Hold on to your saddle Tex, because this is going to be one wild and enjoyable ride.
