Add a new layer of cozy to your cozy bedroom with these 10 tips. Having a cozy room is the best. It’s where you want to spend all of your time. But how is it done? This is something that I have been trying to figure out for a long time, and I have found out a few things along the way. The biggest thing I found out is that the biggest thing that makes a room more cozy are the textures that you bring in. So here are 10 ways to add a new layer of cozy to your bedroom.
Any form of warm and exposed lights will immediately make your room feel cozy and comfortable. And there are so many kinds you can get. You can go for the little fairy lights, bigger edison bulbs, or go for a more funky feel with little lanterns or flowers. And think of all of the places you can hang them! You can wrap them around your headboard, hang them around photos on the wall, or frame the inside or outside of the window. The options are seemingly endless! And they are such an easy little thing to add to your room, but they have a big impact.
Another way to add a layer of cozy to your room is with fluffy pillows and blankets. And a lot of them. This will not only add a huge level of comfort to your room but they will add texture, which is required for the ultimate cozy bedroom. When I see a bed that is just covered in plush pillows and comfy blankets I just want to crawl in and stay there forever!
This is something that I think is necessary when trying to cozy up your room. It might sound a little weird when looking at the rest of this list, but it fits right in. Smell is a huge dictator of comfort. And when you have a stick of incense burning it just perfumes the air with beautiful exotic smells. And a bonus with incense is that it takes up almost no space! It’s a great way to add a layer of cozy to your room
This is the ultimate way to reach peak coziness in your room. By not having a lot of bright colors in your room competing for attention you can really focus on the textures you add to your space. And there is more variety in your choices when sticking to neutrals. So stick with tans and grays, but if you want to add a little color you can add in a really light blush pink, dusty blue, or pale green. The subtlety will speak volumes.
This is not only an easy way to make your room more cozy, but it is also cheap! So win-win! Putting the mattress on the floor also makes it very easy to flop down on after a long day at work. This will cozy up your room in no time!
I love wall art. To me it is the best way to express yourself and tell others who you are. It also makes your room more cozy and welcoming. And there are so many options when it comes to wall art! You can hang photos (framed or unframed), movie posters, motivational mantras, or my personal favorite: tapestries. This will really cozy up your room in a flash! Tapestries are a great way to add texture to your wall and coziness to your cozy bedroom.
Ok, this is a big one! To make your room as cozy as can be make sure that you have a comforter or duvet cover, and not a quilt or light blanket. Blankets are great for curling up in, but not for plain old sleeping. By using a comforter or duvet you add another texture, and a puffy one at that. And once you have your puffy comforter of choice then you can add on all the pillows and blankets your heart desires for ultimate comfort and coziness.
Crazy idea, I know. But one thing that helps a room feel cozy and warm is when it looks lived in. But, don’t keep it so unkempt that you don’t want people to see it. But don’t work so hard at pulling the sheets up and making sure everything is smooth and even. Let it relax a little. So skip making the bed every now and then in your cozy bedroom.
Rugs, rugs, rugs! They are the key to making your room more cozy. But not just any rug, get a lambs skin. Your feet will thank you. And again, it adds a luxe and cozy layer of texture to your cozy bedroom.
And when I say light and airy, I mean the see through flowy things. And you can use them in so many different ways! You can put them on your windows, as you normally would, but you can also use them to create things. One thing you can do is tack them to your ceiling and create a canopy over your bed, and then take fairy lights and lay them on top of that! It’s not only super cozy, but also super pretty. Your room will feel so comfy and cozy when you add these things.
