KSU has a wide variety of exciting things to do on campus. Clubs, sports, activities, and more. But did you know KSU also has a lot of helpful on-campus resources too? If you are a returning student, you may know about some of these, while some may still be new to you. If you are a freshman, this article is a must read. Broken down by category, these are the essential on-campus resources that every KSU must know!
It never hurts to know early on where tutoring services are or when academic help is available. One place to start would be with your adviser. They can help point you in the right direction on where you can get help if you are struggling in your classes.
One spot for tutoring is Holtz Hall. Holtz Hall has tutoring in a wide variety of academic subjects.
Another resource is the 24-hour study center located on the first floor of Hale Library.
Tip: The best thing is to get tutoring early on if you need it. Do not wait until you fail your first test or when the semester is almost over to get help. The faculty and tutors at KSU want you to succeed.

Joining organizations can help you network to get jobs and access to even more resources. Even joining clubs for fun can bring about a whole world of resources you never knew existed.
Stop by the Career Center to explore different networking and working opportunities. They are here to help you!

Tip: Sometimes it is not what you know, but who you know. Be social and interact with all different kinds of people. You will not regret it.
KSU takes student safety very seriously. There are many resources available if you feel you need help. Wildcat Walk is one such service. Call their number, or just hit one of the blue emergency buttons and someone will escort you around campus at night, if you don’t want to walk alone.
Also, the K-State Police Department has many officers that patrol the campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are blue emergency phone boxes located throughout campus. If you see something, or something has happened to you, use one of the boxes and help will be dispatched.

This is where you should go if still need more help, or if you want to learn more about any of the resources mentioned above. One Stop Shop has everything you could possibly need all in one place. I would highly recommend taking some time to go through the site.
