Concert Outfits You Should Probably Avoid Wearing
If you are heading to a concerts soon, then you probably have thought about what concert outfits you will wear the day-of. Should you wear the plaid skirt, the black pants, or the studded belt? Thinking about all the things that could go wrong may make you second guess yourself. Although there are many things that you will be fine wearing to a concert, there are a few no-no’s, so be prepared with this list of things not to wear to a concert.
Anything With Chains
Concert outfits can be fun to put together because you can add plenty of studs and chains to your outfit and fit right in. However, that might not be the best idea. Yes, going to a punk rock concert with a chain belt and vest is cool, but if you want to get in the middle of the action, then you will most likely get hurt, or hurt someone else, and lose some chains in the process. If you want to just stand in the back, then you can get away with this, but if you are going to be moshing in the pit, or crowdsurfing over the audience, then think about what those chains could do to someone while you are having fun. So, maybe skip the chains for the concerts that you know you will go all in for, and opt for a simpler outfit instead.
Pants or Skirts With Big Pockets
May seem like a strange thing to skip for concert outfits, but large pockets sometimes let things fall out easier. You don’t want to be crowdsurfing during the concert, come to find out you lost your wallet or phone in the process. For the ladies, sometimes women’s clothes won’t have very big pockets, so this may seem like a plus. However, with extra big pockets your things can slip out easier, especially if you are jumping around in a crowd. So, avoid this my making sure that your stuff doesn’t fall out when jumping around at home, and you will be all good!
Shirts That Are Revealing
You move around at concerts, so if wearing deep V-necks are going to be apart of your concert outfits, then you might be taking the risk of popping out of your shirt. Unfortunately, I have seen this event happen a number of times with women that think they won’t join in on the fun, then end up crowdsurfing when the unthinkable happens. So, whether or not you are planning on jumping into the crowd, you should be prepared just in case. That way, if you decide that you want to get in the pit after all, you – and your outfit – will be prepared for it.
Tight Pants
You want to be comfortable enough to jump around and if you are worrying about splitting the back of your trousers, then you aren’t going to get the full experience. So, make sure that whatever pants you wear as part of any of your concert outfits are not too tight to move around in. You will be in a crowd, and there is usually a lot of pushing to the front, so you will probably get caught up in some of the action even if you don’t mean to. It is always better to be safe than sorry, so choose a bit of comfort over beauty for this occasion.
