I’m about to start my last year in college and sometimes I still go to class wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt. Maybe even sweatpants and a sweatshirt. It’s either because I’m in a rush or I just don’t feel like putting any effort into my appearance that day. But, of course, there are days when I do! Especially during the fall months because I’m a huge fan of oversized sweaters, high boots, and wearing big comfy scarves. For today, I want to focus on all the cute fall-inspired outfits you can wear to class that you’ll actually want to wear because they’re comfortable and easy to throw on.
It’s time to pack away those maxi dresses and Birkenstock sandals and bring out the cardigans!
Cable-knit sweater dresses are great for you if you’re more laid-back in style yet prefer to still look cute and presentable for class. This one in particular almost gives off a rustic look from the color and material and my favorite thing about it is that it is slightly oversized, making for a looser fit. The dress in the photo down below is from Free People and on the pricier side (about $168.00). Fortunately, I found a similar looking one that will help you recreate this look at an affordable price!

If there’s one fall-related item that I’ll forever be obsessed with, it would have to be cardigans. I love long cardigans, short cardigans, fuzzy cardigans, wool cardigans, all of them. They’re a classic when it comes to comfy-wear during the chilly fall months and you can either dress them down or dress them up. They’re that easy to work with! This hooded cardigan is stylish, comfy, and can be worn with any outfit. Like the girl in the photo, you can pair it with a classic white t-shirt and ripped dark-washed jeans, or maybe even a dress of some sort with ankle booties.

Summer might be over but that doesn’t mean you have to pack away all your summer clothes! Skirts should still be allowed, at least until the beginning of October. And plaid skirts are perfect for fall. They’re simple in terms of a pattern, but when paired with the right top and shoes, they can make an outfit go a long way. This skirt is especially cute because of the vintage vibes it gives off. If you want to wear the skirt on a chilly day, pair it with a long-sleeved turtleneck and some tights!

You’ve probably seen this jacket everywhere and for good reason. I’m highly positive they’re going to be making another comeback this fall because of how cute and stylish they are. You can find these jackets just about anywhere and today I’m bringing you one that I found from Shein. It comes in eight different colors and four different sizes. If you’re anything like me and favor wearing things oversized during fall, then buy the jacket a size up so that it can hang off of your shoulder a bit.

You can really make this outfit your own, but I absolutely adore the pink cardigan and white button-down top. It’s simple enough that you can throw it on without much effort but stylish and cute enough that you can take an Instagram-worthy photo in it — you’ll receive plenty of compliments. If it were me wearing this, I’d also wear it like the girl in the photo, who paired it with high-waisted jeans and white shoes!

And we’re back with the oversized dresses! These are great because they’re super easy to throw on and accessories complement them very nicely. This oversized sweater dress, in particular, is a sage color, but it comes in various other colors as well. Pair it with some hoops, white high-top sneakers, and you have yourself a cute outfit to wear to class! If you’re not into dresses and sneakers, pair it with some thigh-high boots or ankle booties instead.

As the weather starts to change and the days get colder, my temptation to throw on a pair of sweatpants and call it a day gets worse and worse. However, sweatpants can be made cute! Of course, it depends on what you pair them with and the style sweatpants you purchase, but for the most part, they can definitely look cute no matter what. If you don’t mind matching sets, you can always buy a tracksuit, too, for a more reserved chic look.

A lot of people think denim on denim is a fashion no-no or that they can’t pull it off themselves, but it can actually be a cute look and the latter is definitely never the case. There’s no question there are dos and don’ts when it comes to pairing denim with denim; if paired correctly, it makes for a great fall look!

If you’re unfamiliar with the term, athleisure is a fairly new fashion trend that includes wearing casual athletic clothes in settings where you’re wearing them without the intention of working out. You can wear athleisure at school, work (possibly), lunch, or really any other casual occasion. What I love most about it is how comfortable the outfits tend to be without making it look like you just came from the gym. You can change it up yourself with the pieces you chose to pair together, and, if you really wanted, could dress the athleisure-wear up with jewelry or nice shoes. For me, if I’m taking an 8am, then athleisure wear is the way to go, without a doubt.
