At-home outfits should offer you complete comfort. Who in their right minds would spend time lounging around their house in jeans? But then again, how are you supposed to get anything done if you wear your pajamas all day? You need a happy medium, and that’s where I come in. I’ve put together some wardrobe essentials that you need for staying comfortable, yet feeling good when hanging out a home. Forget about keeping on that old, wrinkly, oversized t-shirt all day, it’s time you look and feel your best.
Joggers will be your go-to bottoms when lounging around at home. Not only are they extremely comfortable, but they’re so in-style recently. Joggers aren’t looked at as pajamas anymore, you can wear them with a cropped shirt, a cardigan, and sneakers and be ready to take on anything. My favorite look to wear with joggers is a cropped long sleeve shirt and sneakers. For only $18, you’ll have a stylish pair of pants to wear every day. You’ll never want to take them off.

Sometimes, hoods can strangle you and leave you completely uncomfortable, and that’s why I love crewnecks. Crewnecks have no tight, annoying hood to get in the way, and they’re so trendy. Oversized crewnecks are the best because you feel like you’re wrapped up in a cozy blanket, but more stylish of course. Pair your favorite crewneck with a pair of leggings and a hat and you’ll be killing the game. This stylish charcoal crewneck is essential for any wardrobe, and it’s only $35.

Matching sweatsuits are back, and I hope they’re here to stay. I love the look of matching sweatshirts and sweatpants. Throw your hair in a high pony and pair it with some sneaks and you’ve got the trendiest and most comfortable outfit known to date. This set is sold separately, as the top and bottom are each $27. Coming from a small boutique, Runway & Rosé (my absolute favorite store you need to check them out) that’s a great price! Many other stores such as Forever 21 and Free People sell amazing sweatsuits as well!

Another product from Runway & Rosé, this oversized tie dye sweatshirt is to die for. Tie dye is so-in lately, and we’re so-about it. This sweatshirt looks great with biker shorts or leggings (depending on the weather), white sneakers and your hair in a high pony. This is great for hanging out around the house in, but you can also rock to go pick up a coffee or walk the dog. There’s so much you can accomplish in this fashionable sweatshirt.

Graphic tees are perfect for any type of weather. If you live somewhere warm, rock your graphic tee with a pair of biker shorts, white mid-calf socks, and white sneakers. Live in colder weather? Don’t stress. My favorite way to wear a graphic tee is with a white turtle neck underneath and leggings. This is perfect for if your tee is more oversized, so it can hang loose over your leggings. Style your hair for the look with a high slicked back pony. This top is also from Runway & Rose (of course), but you can find them at Forever 21, NastyGal, or even a local thrift shop!

Neutral colored turtlenecks are great to pair with so many other pieces. My favorite, as mentioned above, is to wear them under a large graphic tee. Other ways to style turtlenecks are with cardigans, cozy jackets, or simply just with joggers. This simple piece will completely expand your wardrobe.

Camo leggings, camo sweatshirts, camo everything. Camouflage is one of my favorite trends lately, and you’re sure to fall in love with it. These pocket leggings are high-waisted, don’t see-through, and of course, have pockets. These are so cute to wear with an oversized or cropped white, black, or grey sweatshirt or t-shirt. They come in green, black, or blue camo and honestly, you’re going to want all three.

Oversized cardigans are the perfect addition to any outfit. Wear them with joggers, leggings, graphic tees, turtlenecks, really anything you want. They’ll keep you feeling warm and cozy all day long, you’ll have to refrain from going to sleep in it. This simple clothing piece can be found at most stores, but our favorite is the Take Knit Easy Balloon Sleeve Women’s Cardigan from Tilly’s, for $39.99.

Ah, the new biker shorts trend. Honestly, I wasn’t the biggest fan of these at first, but now I can’t get enough. These are so comfortable to hang around the house in. Pair these with an oversized sweatshirt or graphic tee, white mid-calf socks and white sneakers. Lululemon is on the pricier side for biker shorts, but you can also find them for a great price at Forever 21. You’ll love the way you look and, even though you’re at home, sure to get lots of compliments. So throw a mirror selfie up on your Insta to show off your cute new outfit!

Shoes that are easy to slip on and off are a huge necessity when staying at home. These faux fur slides are so trendy and can easily be taken off before jumping into bed or slid on to take the trash out. They can be found for so cheap, here we found them from Tilly’s for only $16.99, and are more than worth it. Pair these with any leggings, sweatshirts, or joggers you want!

I always have and always will love waffle knit material. This basic top will complete any comfy outfit, whether you’re pairing it with leggings, joggers, or even biker shorts. When wearing such a basic piece, it’s important to have something that stands out in the outfit. In this case, I would throw in a colorful scar pony or scrunchie of your choice.

If your hairs looking on the greasier side, there’s no reason you can’t throw a hat on to avoid over-washing your hair. Baseball hats and beanies have become hugely popular, and we’re so here for it. Pairing beanies with an oversized sweatshirt and leggings make for the coziest, but cute, look. For baseball hats, I like to stick to biker shorts, graphic tees, and sneakers. I try to wear beanies all winter and baseball hats for the warmer weather so I can switch up my overall look. Both are super cheap and will complete any outfit!
