1. Rumors by Fleetwood Mac

This is unquestionably Fleetwood Mac’s most famous album. Complete with classics such as “Dreams”, “Go Your Own Way”, and “Don’t Stop”, your vinyl collection is nothing without it. And you can proudly display the beautiful, sepia tone cover. This is one of the best classic vinyl records.

2. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars by David Bowie

Honestly, who doesn’t love Bowie? This album celebrates David Bowie’s introduction of his most famous and most coolest alter ego, Ziggy Stardust. With songs such as “Moonage Daydream”, Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide,” and of course, “Ziggy Stardust” you will probably catch yourself twirling around in your room, jamming out to this album.

3. The Velvet Underground & Nico by the Velvet Underground

Know what is cooler than a 60’s rock band? A 60’s rock band managed by Andy Warhol. This experimental album explores taboo topics, from drug abuse to prostitution, and it has since cemented itself as one of the most influential rock albums of all time. Complemented with the haunting yet mesmerizing vocals of Nico and Lou Reed, this classic record is worthy of listening!

4. Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys

Like The Velvet Underground & Nico, Pet Sounds is also one of the most experimental albums of all time. Incorporating instruments not normally associated with rock music such as bicycle bells, french horns, and Coca-Cola cans, this album truly displays the genius of Brian Wilson. Rolling Stone magazine has ranked it number 2nd in its list of “500 greatest albums of all time.” Paul McCartney even named one of its tracks, “God Only Knows”, as one of his all-time favorite songs.

5. Tapestry by Carole King

This record won four Grammy Awards in 1971 and its leading tracks such as “It’s Too Late”, “I Feel The Earth Move,” “So Far Away”, and “(You Make Me Feel) A Natural Woman” continue to send chills down the spine with King’s powerful soulful voice, her brilliant lyrics, and piano playing skills.

6. Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles

This genre blending album infuses a range of influences, such as rock ‘n’ roll, vaudeville, avant-garde, and Indian music. With its iconic album cover artwork, with dozens of icons and pop culture figures cramped in it, this album is a hallmark in music. Rolling Stone magazine has ranked it number 1 in its list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” Even today, this experimental album continues to captivate.

7. Purple Rain by Prince

You cannot argue that this album is Prince’s magnum opus. The title track, “Purple Rain,” was originally supposed to be a country song until it was transformed into an epic, emotional and soulful ballad.
