Christmas DIY Decorations To Make Your Home Cozy For The Holidays

Christmas is the most wonderful time of year. From the decorations, music, shopping, baking, and more, this is always the most joyous time of year. Make your holiday season merry and bright by adding some homemade Christmas DIY decorations to your home! These DIY decorations are not only cute and easy to make, but they are guaranteed to give you a smile on your face and put you in the Christmas spirit. So, put on some Christmas music, grab a plate of Christmas cookies, and get ready for a night of Christmas DIY decorations to make for your home for this holiday season!

1. Christmas Advent Calendar

Skip buying the typical Advent calendar from the grocery store and make your own Advent calendar instead! Count down the days until Christmas with little paper envelopes that are filled with surprised like candy and toys. You can add decorations to each envelope, like ribbon, stickers and tags. Place the envelopes on a Christmas themed cork board. Hang the calendar in your kitchen or living room so everyone can see it and take part in the calendar too!

2. Christmas Welcome Sign

Create a Christmas themed welcome sign  to add to your front door. Go to your local arts and crafts store and buy some paint and canvases for this project. You can add some lights, Christmas trees or ornaments to the sign too. Hang the sign outside your front door, or in your living room, to catch the eyes of your guests as soon as they arrive!

3. Paint Pinecones

If you are looking for a cute way to create little Christmas tree decorations, paint some pinecones! Paint the pinecones green, add some glitter on the ‘trees’ and a star on top to create the look of Christmas tree. Place the pinecones in a bowl or in mason jars. They are perfect to use as table centerpieces too!

4. Ornaments

Create your own Christmas ornaments for your tree this year! You can get super creative with these ornaments, like adding paint and glitter to them, stickers, or some ribbon. Make each ornament a little different, and very Christmas themed. These ornaments are also perfect to give as gifts to family members and friends.

5. Christmas Light Wreath

Create a unique Christmas wreath with some colored Christmas lights! All you need is a 12-inch craft ring, vintage colored Christmas lights, and a hot glue gun to make this project. This wreath is great to hang outside your front door, in your kitchen or living room. It is so cute and will grab everyone’s attention!

6. Christmas Table Centerpieces

Skip spending money on centerpieces and make your own this year! Christmas themed centerpieces can be as simple as a garland runner with some candles, painting pinecones to look like Christmas trees, or making a Christmas tree out of chocolate kisses. The centerpieces will add the perfect amount of Christmas spirit to your dinner table this holiday season!

7. Snow Globe in a Mason Jar

Build your own winter wonderland with this snow globe in a mason jar  project! All you need is some mason jars, Christmas decorations (snowmen, reindeers, trees), and some glue to make these jars. They are perfect to put on tables or give as gifts!

8. Stockings

Create your own stocking by using old plaid blankets, scarves, quilts and blankets. You can personalize each stocking by adding names and ages. These are so cute to hang next to the chimney!
