10 Chocolate Flavored Cocktail Recipes You’re Going To Love

What’s not to love about a delicious chocolate cocktail? When you combine chocolate and alcohol, you get the perfect adult dessert that will leave you satisfied. Whether you want to try some new alcoholic beverages at the next party you’re hosting or simply add a fun twist to your favorite chocolate beverage, you’ll want to try these chocolate cocktail recipes.

1. Kahlua Chocolate Martini

Who doesn’t love a good martini, especially a chocolate-flavored one? This chocolate cocktail is super easy to make, and we know it’ll be a hit for you and whoever else you decide to make it for! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 ½ oz Kahlua
  • ½ oz chocolate vodka
  • 1 ½ oz Crème de Cacao
  • 1 oz chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz milk

First, fill a shaker with ice, then add all the ingredients. Shake well, then strain into a martini glass. Serve and enjoy!

2. Mudslide

Chocolate milkshake lovers out there will definitely enjoy this popular chocolate cocktail. A mudslide is pretty much an adult milkshake with rich chocolate and coffee flavors. It’s the perfect combination of a cocktail and a dessert. Here’s what you’ll need to make it:

  • 1 ½ oz chocolate vodka
  • 1 ½ oz Irish cream
  • 1 ½ oz Kahlua
  • 1 oz Crème de Cacao
  • ½ gal chocolate ice cream

This frozen chocolate cocktail is very simple to make. All you have to do is combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend well. If you want to go all out, you can garnish your mudslide with chocolate syrup, sprinkles, whipped cream, and chocolate chips.

3. Spiked Hot Chocolate

With colder weather on the horizon, anyone would love to enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate. The only thing better than hot chocolate is spiked hot chocolate. Here’s what you need to make this perfect holiday chocolate cocktail:

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp Kosher salt
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1 ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp pure peppermint extract (optional)
  • 5 oz Kahlua
  • 2 ½ oz vanilla vodka
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Crushed peppermint candy (optional)

Combine the sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and water in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Use a whisk to mix everything together. Once everything is mixed, let the mixture come to a rapid simmer, then add the milk and cream while stirring often until the entire thing is heated through. When you remove the saucepan from the heat, add in the Kahlua, vanilla vodka, and peppermint extract if you’re using it, and stir again. Use a ladle to scoop the finished product into a mug, then add the whipped cream and crushed peppermint if you want. Serve and enjoy!

4. Almond Joy Cocktail

There’s nothing better than a candy-flavored cocktail. Those who love almond joy candy bars will want to make this delicious almond joy cocktail. Here’s what you need to make this chocolate cocktail:

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • bar spoon of almond extract
  • 4 oz Master of Mixes Piña Colada Mixer
  • 1 – 2 tbsp chocolate syrup/chocolate liqueur

Fill a shaker with ice, then pour in the vanilla vodka, almond extract, and piña colada mixer. Shake well, then pour everything into a highball glass. Float the chocolate syrup on top of the drink, and gently mix it together if you’d like.

5. Baileys Chocolate Mousse

If you think there couldn’t possibly be anything to make a chocolate mousse taste better, you have to try adding some Baileys to it. Baileys and chocolate already make a wonderful combination, so you know this chocolate cocktail will be a winner. Here are all the ingredients you’ll need to make it:

For the mousse:

  • 7 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 7 oz double heavy cream
  • ¼ cup Baileys
  • 3 large eggs
  • Pinch of salt

For the whipped cream:

  • 7 oz double heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp icing sugar
  • ¼ cup Baileys
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the garnish:

  • Chocolate shavings
  • Cocoa powder

To make the mousse, start by separating the yolks from the eggs, then whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt into a bowl. Whisk until you have soft peaks, then set the bowl aside. Put the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a different bowl, then add the cream and Baileys. Microwave this mixture in short bursts until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Save about two to three tablespoons of the melted chocolate to use as drizzle, and let the rest cool before mixing it in the egg yolks. Add a large spoonful of the whisked egg whites to mix in, then gently fold in the remaining egg whites until the mousse is smooth. Keep the mousse in small bowls or glasses, and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.

To make the whipped cream, whisk the double cream, icing sugar, Baileys, and vanilla extract until you have peaks. After you finish, spoon the whipped cream over the chocolate mousse and drizzle the bit you saved from earlier. Sprinkle the chocolate shavings or cocoa powder on top, serve, and enjoy!

6. Chocolate Peppermint White Russian

This chocolate cocktail recipe takes the classic white Russian and adds a bit of a holiday twist to it. It’s quick and easy to make, and it would also make the perfect signature drink at your next holiday party! Here’s what you need to make the chocolate peppermint white Russian:

  • ¾ oz vodka
  • ¾ oz Kahlua
  • ½ oz peppermint schnapps
  • 1 oz chocolate syrup
  • 1 oz heavy cream or Half & Half
  • Ice
  • Mini candy cane or peppermint stick for garnish

Add all the ingredients in a cocktail glass with ice, stir, and garnish with a peppermint candy. That’s it! Serve and enjoy!

7. Smores Hot Chocolate Shots

Chocolate shots? Yes, please! You HAVE to have these smores hot chocolate shots at your next holiday party. Here’s how to make them:

  • 2 ½ – 3 tablespoons chopped semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ oz milk chocolate liqueur
  • ½ tbsp caramel sauce
  • ½ tbsp crushed graham crackers
  • 1 marshmallow
  • Drizzle of dark chocolate syrup

To make this chocolate cocktail, add a bit of caramel sauce to the sides of a shooter glass. Rummage the shooter glass through a dish of the crushed graham crackers, and then set it aside. Add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate into a saucepan over low heat and stir until the chocolate melts. Once it does, add the sugar and slowly pour in the heavy cream. Keep stirring until everything is fully combined, then remove the saucepan from the heat. Carefully add a half-ounce of the dark chocolate liqueur into your shooter glass, then add one and a half ounces of the hot chocolate. Put a marshmallow on top, and use a baking torch to roast it. Drizzle some chocolate on top of the marshmallow, and enjoy your smores hot chocolate shot!

8. Butterfinger Cocktail

Another candy-inspired chocolate cocktail! If Butterfingers were your favorite snack growing up, you have to try the Butterfinger cocktail. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Chocolate syrup, to garnish
  • 2 oz butterscotch schnapps
  • 1 oz Irish cream
  • 3 oz milk

Start by drizzling the inside of a glass with chocolate syrup, and chill the glass in the fridge. Add ice to a shaker, then put the butterscotch schnapps, Irish cream, and milk in. Shake well, strain your chocolate cocktail into the chilled glass, and serve.

9. Baileys Tiramisu Cocktail

If you’re looking for another perfect dessert and cocktail combo, you’ll want to try this chocolate cocktail. Here’s what you’ll need for this Baileys tiramisu cocktail.

  • 3 oz Baileys
  • 3 oz strong hot coffee
  • 1 oz chopped chocolate
  • 2 tbsp soft brown sugar
  • 2 oz ladyfinger biscuits
  • 4 oz mascarpone
  • Cocoa powder, chocolate coffee beans, and chocolate flakes to garnish

Mix the coffee with the sugar and chocolate until it becomes smooth. Set it aside to cool. Then add Baileys, the biscuit crumbs, and some ice cubes in a blender. Blend until it becomes smooth. Put the mascarpone in a different bowl, then add about a third of the Baileys mixture. Whisk until it becomes smooth, then fold in the rest with a spoon. Pour the coffee, sugar, and chocolate mixture in two martini glasses, then spoon in the Baileys and mascarpone mix in. Garnish with the cocoa powder, coffee beans, and chocolate flakes.

10. Snickertini

This chocolate cocktail makes the perfect dessert! The Snickertini is another candy-inspired cocktail that will surely be a fan favorite for all the chocolate lovers out there. Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make a Snickertini:

  • Chocolate sauce
  • Caramel sauce
  • 1 ½ oz caramel vodka
  • ½ oz Baileys
  • ½ oz chocolate liqueur
  • ½ oz Amaretto
  • 1 tsp cream

Start by drizzling the caramel and chocolate sauce on the inside of a rocks glass, then put it in the fridge to chill. Add ice to a shaker and put in the rest of the ingredients. Shake well, then pour the mixture into the chilled glass.
