1. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

It’s starting to warm up for spring so why not head down to Myrtle Beach! With a coastline that stretches for miles, there’s no shortage of where you can sit and enjoy the beach. Getting a little hungry after being in the water? How about southern style eateries or seafood buffets to fill you up?

2. Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee

For under $150 a night you can tour America’s most popular national park. Forget fishing at your local lake, why not catch a great, big bass at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee? The six mile Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is know for its amazing, scenic hiking trail.

3. New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans is more than just beignets at Cafe Du Monde and Mardi Gras! In the French Quarter there are nightclubs to visit, and architecture that make your surroundings like no other. The New Orleans Jazz Historical Park offers a free self guided audio tour so you you can explore the city’s famous music scene.

4. Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Got a passport? Take spring break trip to our neighboring country of Canada! There are a number of attractions like the Montreal Biodome which recreates four ecosystems with more than 200 species of animals. Notre Dame is more than a Catholic University in Indiana, it is a landmark basilica in the historic Old Montreal district. For all you art lovers, head to the Musee des Beaux Arts de Montreal!

5. Washington, DC

Big history buff? Why not go to our great nation’s capital? I can tell you from experience, a trip to Washington, DC is an amazing experience! I took a spring break trip there and we went to three places. The first was the Supreme Court where we got to sit in on a real live hearing. This building is gorgeous and don’t get me started on the bathrooms! I even bought myself a mini gavel keychain, $12 but I love it! Then we went to the Holocaust Museum, it was an interesting, yet sad eye opening experience, but necessary on educating yourself on the plight of others. Finally we walked around and took pictures of the the Capitol building.

6. Niagara Falls, Canada

This is also a place I can speak on from experience. Mid-day is the best time to go. There are gift shops and little food eateries everywhere. Not to mention the giant waterfall across the way. You also have the option of taking a boat ride under the waterfall. I personally didn’t but one day I just might. One other attraction is the live glass blowing booth. I had never seen glass blowing in my life and in a matter of minutes I watched this man take a hot glob and sculpt it into a beautiful horse!

7. Las Vegas, Nevada

Just because it’s Vegas doesn’t mean you have to run out and spend money! Go out for a stroll to see the beautiful lights on the Sunset Strip! Visit the Mob Museum and grab a bite at the Champagnes Cafe.
