5 Changes That Happen In College

Life is full of mystery. You told yourself that you won’t do certain things in high school, but you might be doing that certain things in college. You can’t be so sure about anything because you never know what will happen. You might find something better. You will have broader perspective in life. You will have more knowledge in life. You might be lost as ever yet, confident as ever. Here is a list of 5 changes that happen in college.

1. Your Grades

You just don’t know what you’re gonna get. It could change at any moment. You might have all B’s for the entire semester, but the extra credit you did and that one A on your last exam might get you an A for the semester. It’s not over till it’s over. Your professor might add more extra credit opportunities. Don’t give up. This is often one of the biggest changes that happen in college.

2. What Kind of Person You Will Date

This one you just never know. Attraction works in a mysterious way. For instance, you might not like hipsters and artsy kind of people. Maybe, you made fun of them in high school, but be careful. You might find yourself being attractive to one of them. You might actually end up dating them. Types change all the time especially in college.

3. Your Friend Group

You would think college isn’t cliquey as high school. Well, that’s not necessarily true. It can be very cliquey. People might enter your life and people might exit your life. That’s just the nature of any relationship.Don’t sweat it so much. It all work out at the end. You will be left with just about enough.

4. Your roommate

You might make a pack with your freshman year roommate that you guys will live together for entire college career. That might not happen. One or both of you might do study abroad or end up living with their boyfriend or girlfriend. You might drop out of college or you got married. You just never know. A lot can happen within 4 years. (Or 5 years if you take a gap year.)

5. Plan After College

You might tell yourself that you will receive no more education after you graduate college. You don’t know that. You could end up at graduate school because you couldn’t get a job or you feel like you need more training before you pursue your career. Maybe you’re just not ready to jump into the wage earning life.

You probably weren’t aware of all the changes. You might’ve been thinking you won’t change, but it’s okay. Things change under different circumstances. You’re in a different environment. You’re a grown-up now technically. It’s okay to have some changes. Don’t be afraid of a new phase in your life because these changes that happen in college are great.
