10 Chain Restaurants With Killer Drink Menus You Wouldn’t Expect
Chain restaurants aren’t necessarily the first places you think of when you want to go out for drinks, however, some of them have some pretty surprising options that’ll have you doing a double take. They can also be a lot cheaper than the drinks you might order at that bar on the other side of town, not to mention how much closer you’ll find a lot of chain restaurants than you’ll find a decent bar. In case you’re wanting a change of scenery, here are 10 chain restaurants with good drinks that you never would’ve expected.
1. Texas Roadhouse
Texas Roadhouse touts its “coldest draught beer in town” and claims they have a “legendary selection of specialty drinks and margaritas.” With the list you can see on their website, at least, I’m pretty inclined to believe their claims. They have tons of margaritas: sangria, hurricane, frozen, rocks. Not to mention their other options such as Kenny’s Cooler (made with peach schnapps), tea vodka, sangria red, the Roadhouse Roadie, and the Jamaican Cowboy.
2. Ruby Tuesday
Though these restaurants are relatively few and far between as of late, they’re still great places to go for a nice drink and relaxing atmosphere. They have a variety of mojitos like mango, strawberry, acai, and watermelon. They also have a similar variety of margaritas and martinis.
3. P.F. Chang’s
Yeah, you read that right. You’d never expect it on the list of chain restaurant with good drinks, but they have dozens of different varieties of beer, all the sake you’d ever need, and margaritas, mojitos, and martinis (oh, my!) out the wazoo! Select from the bold, tropical, refreshing, beer, or sake sections of their alcohol menu. No matter what you choose you’ll find plenty of selection, and you won’t be disappointed.
4. Outback
This one isn’t as big a surprise as the previous contender. They have classics, cocktails, fruity favorites, wines, and margaritas galore! Any alcoholic combination with any flavor that you desire probably exists in Outback’s menu.
5. Olive Garden
What goes better with pasta (or any Italian cuisine really) than a nice glass of wine? Well they have all the wine you’ll ever need and more. The “more” being sangria, cocktails, and margaritas of all flavors!
6. TGI Friday’s
This is one restaurant that seems to have been on the rise as of late. And if their drink menu is any indication, I can clearly see why. With over a dozen varieties of wine, more than 20 types of beer, and a dozen cocktail flavors from peach to apple, this might just become my new favorite drink stop.
7. Red Lobster
Sit back and enjoy some drinks with your lobster, or whichever seafood it is that you enjoy most. You’re already splurging for a fancier meal, why not splurge for an extra drink or two as well?
8. The Cheesecake Factory
This one had me taken aback at first, but with a little more thought it totally makes sense as one of the chain restaurants with good drinks. A bit of alcohol with those large slices of cheesecake sounds pretty good to me. I’m dying to try the caramel appletini.
9. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
I won’t even mention the large variety of drinks they have available, but the names for half their drinks alone makes me want to try them! I mean… “fizzy fun,” “secret mango sparkler?” What doesn’t sound delicious about those?
10. Applebee’s
Coming as a shock to about no one is Applebee’s! They’re pretty well known for their variety and excitable atmosphere which makes throwing a few back all the more enjoyable.
