Some of the most famous Celebrity Couples include Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, and Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, to name a few. Besides these well-known Celebrity Couples, there are Celebrity Couples out there who prize secrecy in their private lives.

Save for occasional red carpet appearances here and there, some Celebrity Couples manage to keep their marriages and personal lives relatively under wraps.

1. Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha:

The Scandal Star and the former NFL Player are one of the most private Celebrity Couples in Hollywood and have been married since 2013. The couple have two children ( a girl and a boy). Washington is also a step-mother to Asomugha’s 13-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. 

At the 2016 South by Southwest Panel in Austin, Texas, the actress opened up on why she prefers to keep her private life private, stating: “”If I don’t talk about my personal life, it means I don’t talk about my personal life. That means not only did I not tell you when I was getting married, it also means if somebody has rumors about what’s going on in my marriage, I don’t refute them, because I don’t talk about my personal life.”

2. Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig:

Like with the other Celebrity Couples featured in this article, another pairing that many people are surprised to hear are married include Actors Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig! Although they were friends for many years, the Oscar-winning Actress and the James Bond-Star didn’t start dating until 2010 while working together on the 2011 film Dream House. Weisz and Craig eventually married in a secret ceremony in 2011 with only four guests in attendance: two friends, Craig’s daughter Ella from his first marriage and Weisz’s son Henry from her previous relationship with Filmmaker Darren Aronofsky. The couple would later welcome their first child (a daughter) together in September 2018. 

3. Rachel Brosnahan and Jason Ralph:

When The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Star and The Younger Star were reported to have gotten married in 2018, Brosnahan revealed on the red carpet at the 2019 SAG Awards that they had, “Been married for years and been together for even longer. We had a good laugh when the news came out that we had just got married, like ‘Happy six-month anniversary, honey!’”

4. Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam:

The How I Might Your Mother Star and Saturday Night Live! Alum first met a mutual friend’s birthday party when they were both 22-years-old. Since getting married in 2012, Smulders and Killam have welcomed two children together. 

5. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody:

The two Teen TV Icons (Meester played Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl and Brody played Seth Cohen on The O.C.) meet on the set of the 2011 film Oranges and got married in 2014. Meester and Brody are one of the most private Celebrity Couples in all of Hollywood and are rarely seen together or talk about their relationship in public.

It was recently revealed that the couple, who are already parents to a daughter Arlo (who was born in 2015), are expecting their second child together after the family was spotted walking around Los Angeles.

6. Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski:

Both Seyfried and Sadoski were in other relationships when they first while working on Broadway together in 2015. It wasn’t until they reunited a year later (both were single) to work together on the 2017 film The Last Word that a romance between the two began. Seyfried and Sadoski have established themselves as one of Hollywood’s most private couples as they wed in a private ceremony in March 2017 and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Nina, a short time after the wedding. 

7. Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford: 

Another one the most private Celebrity Couples that you probably had no idea were married includes Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford. Apparently, the Oscar-Nominated Actress and the Mumford & Sons Lead Singer were childhood pen pals and it was only after they both found success in their respective fields that they got in touch with each other again.

 As one of the most private celebrity couples, neither is active on social media and the couple makes very few public appearances together. Fun Fact: Although Vikander and Fassbender started dating in 2014, they didn’t make their first public appearance as a couple until the 2016 Golden Globes, where Vikander was nominated for her roles in The Danish Girl (the role she would go on to win The Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for) and Ex Machina and Fassbender for nominated for his role in Steve Jobs

The Oscar-Nominated Actress and the filmmaker met while working together on the 2014 film Suite Française and the two secretly tied the knot in December 2016 in a private ceremony in Australia’s Byron Bay. Even after getting married, the two have remained relatively private about their relationship. If you follow Margot Robbie on Instagram, you will notice how she rarely posts photos of herself and Ackerley together. 

10. Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser:

The two actors fell in love after Bledel guest-starred on Kartheiser’s show Mad Men in 2012. The pair eventually wed in 2014 and welcomed a son in the fall of 2015. Bledel and Kartheiser are so private about their relationship that their son’s birth wasn’t even reported until May 2016!
