Celebrities live in the spotlight, where they are constantly interrupted by paparazzi, fans, and scandals, so there is no way for them to lead a normal life. Can you imagine your every move being monitored or recorded? I know I can’t. Occasionally, celebrities will step away from the spotlight, because they need a detox. 1. Nikki Blonsky

Nicole Blonsky is an actress, singer, and dancer; she is known for her role in ‘Hairspray’. Blonsky’s last acting role was in 2017 in “The Last Movie Star.” Nikki Blonsky is no longer an actress, as she is currently a hairdresser in New York.

2. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is a 27-year-old actress and singer from Grand Prairie, Texas. Gomez’s career began in 2002 when she starred in the children series, ‘Barney and Friends’. Selena Gomez has acted in numerous television shows and movies throughout her career. In 2009, Gomez released her debut album, Kiss and Tell, which was a huge success for. Selena Gomez was diagnosed with Lupus in 2012, and in 2017, she received a kidney implant from fellow actress and friend, Francia Raisa. Before Gomez announced the kidney transplant, she took time for herself and stayed out of the spotlight for the sake of her health.

Freddie Prinze Jr. is an American actor from Los Angeles, California. Prinze’s career began in 1996 and only escalated from there. Freddie Prinze Jr. hasn’t acted since 2017, but maybe he’ll make a comeback someday.

Demi Lovato is a 27-year-old actress and singer from Dallas, Texas. Lovato’s career began in 2002, when she starred alongside Selena Gomez in the children’s series, ‘Barney and Friends’. Demi Lovato’s Disney career formed in 2008 when she starred in ‘Camp Rock’. Demi Lovato released her debut album, Don’t Forget in 2008. Over the years, Lovato has openly discussed her personal struggles with depression and addiction. On July 24, 2018, Lovato was sent to a medical center in Los Angeles, California for an Opioid overdose. After Demi Lovato’s overdose, she stepped away from the spotlight to focus on her sobriety.

Jonathon Taylor Thomas is an American actor and director. Thomas’ most infamous role was as Randy Taylor on ‘Home Improvement’. Thomas was also a voice actor, as he voiced young Simba on ‘The Lion King’ in 1994. Jonathon Taylor Thomas portrayed John Baker and Randy on the Fox series, ‘Last Man Standing’. Aside from acting, Thomas also directed four episodes of ‘Last Man Standing’ in 2013-2016.

Michael J. Fox is a Canadian-American actor. Michael J. Fox portrayed Marty McFly in the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy. From 1982- 1989, Fox portrayed Alex P. Keaton in the NBC series, ‘Family Ties’, which won him several awards. At the age of 29, Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and although he was diagnosed with the disease in 1991, he didn’t reveal it to the public until 1998. Nine years after the diagnosis, Michael J. Fox established the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

9. Peter Ostrum

Peter Ostrum portrayed Charlie in the 1971 film, ‘Willy and the Wonka Chocolate Factory’. After his acting debut, Ostrum decided to not further his acting career. Ostrum obtained a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1985.

Michael Schoeffling is a retired actor from Pennsylvania. Schoeffling rose to fame as Jake Ryan in the film “Sixteen Candles.” Schoeffling starred in nine films and one television episode before retiring in 1991. Schoeffling currently resides in Pennsylvania, where he owns a carpentry business.
