11 Celebrities Every 2010’s Tween Thought They Were Going To Marry
The 2010’s tweens are finally grown up. We made it! It’s nice to be a little nostalgic every once and awhile. Even though our tween nostalgia is only from maybe 7 years ago. As a tween, you really start to get those “Oh, boys really aren’t that gross” feelings. However, those feelings didn’t always apply to the boys at school. We all had our celebrity crushes. We also all had our “future husbands” picked out from that bunch of celebrity crushes. There was collectively a few celebrity crushes that every 2010’s tween wanted to marry, and I’m here to resurface those feelings:
1. Avan Jogia, “Beck” from Victorious
I think Avan Jogia made all of us tweens realize that bad boys aren’t really all that bad. His character on Victorious was the perfect combination of bad boy and soft boy, I guess. He dressed super edgy, but yet he was the sweetest boyfriend ever to Jade. He had the bad boy hair, which he pulled off way better than all these boys today. Plus, he was gorgeous. That’s something we can all seriously agree on. Unfortunately, none of us got to marry him. He is currently occupied by Cleopatra Coleman.
2. Zac Efron
Zac Efron wasn’t just a 2010s tween’s crush, his appeal goes back many years. However, that just proves how attractive he was to all tweens throughout the years. His most famous role that all the girls loved was Troy in High School Musical. I think that’s what really did it for all of us. I recall my best friend having a huge poster of him and kissing it every so often. He had tons of tweens hearts. No worries here though, you can still marry him! Zac is still up for grabs.
3. All of One Direction
I can’t say every member individually because they would take up half of this list. If you were in love with one One Direction member, you definitely still had soft spots for all the others. Just because your favorite was Louis Tomlinson doesn’t mean you wouldn’t still marry Harry Styles in a heart beat. If you wanted to marry one band member, you most likely still wanted to marry them all. The accents, the pretty faces, the voices, the personalities, it seriously didn’t get better than them. As someone who was very well immersed in One Direction, I can confidently say a few are still up for grabs, just not Niall Horan, he’s mine.
4. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, “Robbie” from Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging
When Nickelodeon premiered Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging it felt like such a dirty movie. However, if you watch it now you will realize how mild it actually was. One character in particular definitely caught all of our eyes, Robbie. I am going to flat out say that that boy was nothing less than beautiful. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was total marriage material. He obviously still is because he is married to a much older woman. There is nothing wrong with of course, love is love! She just stripped away a our future husband is all.
5. Robert Pattinson
The crushes on Robert Pattinson definitely developed through the Twilight series, you can’t deny that. He was a vampire, a hot vampire actually. That role really did him some wonders. He was mysterious, sweet, and glowing. Total marriage material. The whole team Edward, team Jacob thing just further proves my point that Robert Pattinson was a heartthrob. Robert may or may not be available at the moment, so your tween heart still has some hope!
6. Justin Bieber
You could probably say that pretty much over half of the world’s tweens wanted to marry Justin Bieber. We were all crazy for him, and still are. He was a phenomenon basically. His “future husband status” lasted through a lot of years. Some of us literally dedicated our lives to him by making fan accounts and buying all of his merch. Some of us are guilty for changing our last names to “Bieber” on social media. Unfortunately, Hailey Bieber actually got this done legally. He’s taken for good now, ladies. I’ll just say it’s a good thing that happened now when we were all grown up and not when we were just wee little tweens.
7. Dylan O’Brien
Now, I don’t know much about Teen Wolf, but what I do know is that Dylan O’Brien was total heart eyes to a lot of tweens. I’m sure when I was 14 if he randomly asked me to marry him, I would, despite the fact that I know nothing about him. He was, and still is, just that cute. I maybe have watched one episode of Teen Wolf, but that’s pretty much all you need to develop a crush on Dylan. You can never really trust the internet when it comes to celebrities relationships, but it seems like Dylan is currently single. That’s always good news!
8. Cody Simpson
Cody Simpson really managed to make us feel better about our boring brown eyes. The blonde hair, the Australian accent, he was serious future husband material. He kinda dropped off the earth for a little bit, but he’s back and dating Miley Cyrus at the moment, it seems so at least. I mean, if you wanted your tween crush to be dating someone, the best is probably Miley Cyrus. We can’t really be mad about it.
9. Gregg Sulkin
We don’t hear from Gregg Sulkin much anymore, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t make this list. When he first appeared on Wizards of Waverly Place we all swooned. The hair and accent really topped it all off. He made are tween hearts beat. He had a bit of a moment with Bella Thorne, but now he is apparently dating one of The Bachelor‘s winner’s sister. Totally random. However, he is still marriage material.
10. Cody Linley
Another Disney Channel appearance that made our tween hearts explode was Cody Linley on Hannah Montana. There was the bad boy Jesse played by Drew Roy, but I think Jake had most of our hearts. His sweetness mixed with a little goofiness made him super adorable. The blonde hair was just a plus. He also seems to be totally available.
11. Logan Lerman
Last, but certainly not least, Logan Lerman. While acting like we were all well-immersed in the world of Greek mythology, we also managed to fall in love with Logan Lerman. The dark hair and blue eyes, so dreamy. How could you not fall in love with him. He’s currently single and probably not ready to mingle with a bunch of girls that had a crush on him in their tweens. But, hey! You never know.
I hope these 2010’s heartthrobs brought some nostalgia back to you. Those were much better days. Oh, what I would do to go back to the days when my only worry was whether I was going to marry a member of One Direction or not.
