Everyone wants to look a bit different. Whether it’s to convey your personality or stand out from the crowd, everybody that isn’t just putting on clothes
Clean clothes and maybe a business casual dress sense makes you seem like a fledging businessman or a very classy gangster from the 1940s. Most people would assume you’re as classy as you dress or simply old-fashioned to some degree.
You’re not out to get people’s attention or you’re just trying to come across as the physical manifestation of goth folks everywhere. Black is often associated with mystery, death, luxury, and other similar themes. Regardless, you might come off as mysterious or brooding to most normal people…Or maybe overly sweaty if you’re in the middle of the summer.
Bright neon colors or maybe reflective surfaces? No problem as long as you pop out while walking alongside the dull-looking masses. You’re basically wrapped in technicolor and your personality is probably just as bold as everything you wear. However, this open flashiness can make some close friends and acquaintances believe you lack subtlety or tact which can make them reconsider letting you handle some tense moments or strenuous tasks in life.
You’ve been working hard and you want everyone to get a good look at all those attractive results. Your clothes can barely hold back all the bulk you’re packing and you love it. The usual vibe you give off is someone full of energy and enthusiasm that goes rock-climbing or wrestle sharks with their bare hands!… Okay, I might be exaggerating but people still assume you’re a sporty person and possibly assume you could be a meat-head. It might not be true, but you could always take a moment to dispell those stereotypes.
The diametric opposite of sporting some tight clothes. You’re uninterested with the idea of showing off your body and you’d rather be comfortable in your everyday clothes. Sweatpants, oversized shirts, and hoodies are your absolute favorite pieces of clothing.
As you strut around town decked out in all manner of jewelry (real or fake!), all eyes must be glued to your every action. Even casual acts like looking at your completely conspicuous watch or flashing the almost invisible rings on your fingers now turn into a miniature spectacle as your gemstones catch the light.
A close cousin to the Blinged-Up option. You like wearing the most famous brands for a wide variety of reason: the allure, the symbol of status they exude, the difficulty in obtaining them, or simply because you like the look. You’re a walking billboard displaying the latest assortments in big names like Gucci, Supreme, and the rest. Some people might say you’re kind of a shallow person while others might be wondering if you’re sponsored model of some kind.
The bread of butter of the hipster stereotype. While it is possible to wear the odd hand-me-downs to get this look, there seems to be a booming market in selling expensive clothes that convey this look. Regardless the idea is to look like a member of a grunge band or a traveling artisan with your wallet possibly dispelling that myth. Perfect for conveying a devil-may-care attitude without breaking the bank. The underlying issue is that most folks might see that look as a warning sign that you’re kind of pretentious about your tastes or something…
