The Ultimate McGill Bucket List

As you enter McGill as a freshman, or if you are still in high school hoping to get there for college, you might have some expectations about it. It is important to make sure you make the most of your time there. Luckily, here is a list of the things you must do during your college years at McGill University, if you want to have the full experience. So keep reading for the ultimate McGill Bucket List!

Do Frosh.

Do at least one of hype week, e-week, carnival, etc. Nobody will judge you by wearing crazy outfits all around the ghetto at these moments, and those events will leave you with incredible memories.

Eat Samosas.

It’s like the emblematic food of McGill, there is even a Facebook group to know where samosas are available on campus. If you don’t like samosas, you’re not a true McGillian.

Go to class drunk at least once.

Not in the morning in preference, but you have too many places to drink on campus that you can’t say you went to McGill without doing it. By the way, beer is very cheap on campus.

Engage in an organization.

There are so many there that there have to be one that fits you perfectly. And it’s a very good way to make good actions and meet people.

Enjoy Montreal things.

Take the advantage of being in one of the most prestigious universities in the world to enjoy one of the best cities to study. Moreover, it is impossible to be bored in Montreal due to the amount of activities and festivals that they have.

Support the varsity team.

It’s always funny to watch your team playing against one another, whatever the sport is (even if football games between McGill and Concordia are very intense due to the rivalry between the universities).

Learn ice skating or brush up on your skills.

Is there another reason to have an outdoor skating rink on campus ? And even if winter is very hard in Montreal, it is one of the things that you can appreciate at this time of the year.

Go to Snowjam.

Another great aspect of winter and another sport. Even if you don’t know how to go down the mountain with your skis, you will still have fun (at the parties also). It is also a great opportunity to discover other parts of Canada (or go in the US).
