The 10 Most Instagrammable Places In Hamilton

Looking for places that will add adventure to your life and Instagram feed this summer? Hamilton, Ontario is the place to go. There being more than 100 waterfalls, don’t be surprised if a few of them make this list. Besides the waterfalls, there is plenty more to sightsee and explore, here’s a list of the 10 most Instagrammable places in Hamilton.

1. OK, but first coffee!

65 Ottawa St N, Hamilton, ON L8H 3Y9, is the proud home of the first Tim Hortons in North America since 1964. Aside from the building itself being a two level Tim Hortons, what it entails is more than just coffee and donuts. With a relaxing yet modernly antique sitting area on the second floor, accompanied by a walk down memory lane with display cases of the older Tim Hortons and how it has evolved over time. This is definitely worth a post on your Instagram feed!

2. Ridge Rd, Stoney Creek, ON L8J2X4

This unique trail has much to offer, more than just a memory and a spot on your feed. With its main accessible route being on the mountain accompanied by a beautiful light up cross, the trail leads down a steep path followed by a fork in the road, that leads through a tunnel for more exploring, or a trail towards the bottom of the bowl. However, before you reach the bowl, you run into what seems to be the waterfall you are looking for, which some may be content with. For those who seek more, just up ahead is the towering waterfall, and you’re standing at the bottom of the bowl… Devil’s Punch Bowl.

3. 47 Discovery Dr, Hamilton, ON L8L 8K4

What makes this spot so noteworthy is the beautiful view of the waterfront, while you rollerskate the night away with your friends. Although there is rollerskating in the warmer months, this same rink holds ice skating in the colder months. Whether you’re a rookie skater or a professional one, the skill or spill you share will make a great photo and an even better memory.

4. 35 York Blvd, Hamilton, ON L8R 3K1

Although this place is not known for the architecture itself, it is a great spot to try some new foods that are not just homemade and fresh but multicultural as well. Hamilton’s Farmer’s Market is attached to the Jackson Square Mall making it a great spot to hit after you do some shopping. Also being in the heart of downtown Hamilton, there is much more to explore within the area; that is dying to be shared… on Instagram.

5. 123 King St W, Hamilton, ON L8P 4S8

After visiting the Farmer’s Market, the Art Gallery of Hamilton is a block away. Besides the second floor being open and having free admission, students with a valid ID card are admitted throughout the entire exhibit free of charge, giving students plenty of time to visit and admire all of the art. What’s more Instagrammable than taking a picture beside or of a piece of art?

6. 280 Van Wagner’s Beach Road, Hamilton, ON L8L 1M5

On the hotter sunny days, Hutch’s on the Beach is the place to be. It’s convenience to the beach, pools, go karting tracks, and wild waterworks gives you a reason to visit and snap a pic along with munching. With their classic fish and chips, ice cream, and authentic milkshakes, it is a must when visiting the beach, and almost mandatory to be on your Instagram page.

7. Wentworth St S, Hamilton, ON

Say you’re just looking to do something simple that costs nothing? The Wentworth stairs are for you. The name is self-explanatory, stairs on Wentworth Street. It is a great way to get outdoors, exercise, hike- as the stairs connect to different trails, and enjoy the scenery of the greenery.

Albion Falls is definitely a days trip to figure out all the pathways, and why not share your success through an Instagram post?

9. Locke Street South, Hamilton, ON

Rather than having a single location like a store or a restaurant, why not walk Locke? This charming, almost old-fashioned street, is filled with cute little shops, something you’d see out of an older movie. Throughout the year, will have occasional street festivals adding to its old school charm. Including their iconic bridge with locks locked on them, it’s a nice little blast from the past, that is definitely worthy of a spot on your feed.

10. Concession Street at Jolly Cut, Hamilton, ON

Sam Lawrence Park is a small little park, that overlooks Hamilton, with different levels and spots you can see the city from, it’s a great spot for pictures, and is a peaceful area, great for picnics, get-togethers, and of course photo shoots.
