Waking up at 8:30 and attempting to look presentable for that dreaded 9:45 class can be a struggle. Here are some makeup tricks to make that morning just a little easier. We all could use that!
1. Skip Foundation
Skipping foundation may seem like a ridiculous suggestion if your skin really isn’t feeling it. But this makeup tip has saved me countless times.
Instead, put on your favorite moisturizer to feel more awake then spritz with a makeup setting spray. A lightweight hydrating moisturizer such as Sunday Riley Brightening Enzyme Cream will make you feel fresh as a daisy.
2. Concealer
For this makeup trick use a concealer that is one or two shades lighter than your skin tone. It will create a brightening effect and hopefully get rid of those bags.
Try a concealer with a lighter consistency so that you’re under eyes don’t get cakey. The Hey Honey concealer has a great texture and does the trick!
3. Mascara
Never skip mascara. Even if it is the only thing you put on in the morning it can help make your eyes pop so you at least look like you are paying attention.
I would recommend that you use mascara that has thinner bristles and will look less clumpy. Less time on clump maintenance after. Try the Benefit Cosmetic Roller Lash mascara for a boost.
4. Lipstick Always
Lipstick really just makes me go from 0 to 10. I can feel like shit but then with a little lipgloss, I feel better. Maybe it is a placebo effect but I stand by it. Lipstick is multifunctional so if halfway through the class you aren’t looking your best add a little to the lips and cheeks.Try this makeup trick for instant wow!
5. Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is literally a lifesaver. I have thin, blonde hair so by the end of the day it is greasy as hell and sometimes I don’t want to wake up in the morning to shower and too tired to shower at night.
And voila, dry shampoo. Since I like the messy look I will put a lot in then add wave spray so it seems like the bed head is on purpose. Find this majestic godsend in any drug store near you!
6. Light Shimmery Eyeshadow
This is an easy way to make your eyes appear alive. I try to add a shimmery shadow that is similar to my skin tone and that is incredibly blendable.
I will either put that shadow all over my lid or just in the eye socket by the bridge of my nose. This really helps dissipate that sleep af look.
7. BB Cream
BB cream is a moisturizer with a tint so if skipping foundation is a complete no go try this instead. It adds some life into lifeless skin as well as moisturizing which is fabulous for those dry winter months. For a nongreasy finish try the Clinique BB Cream.
8. Trios are everything
I love making my cheekbones the envy of all but sometimes we just do not have the time for all that blending. Nothing is worse than thinking you have time to buff it out but you just don’t.
Grab a highlight, blush, and bronze to minamize how many products you have to search through. My go to is the Tarte Pro Glow to Go. A great highlighting and bronzer duo.
9. Highlighter
Highlighter is magic. It instantaneously makes my day better. Add a little glow to your cheekbones and nose to catch the light and make it look like you have your shit together. If I am in a rush I just apply my Hourglass highlighter in Diffused Light for an addictive glow.
10. Nude Eyeliner
Nude eyeliner is a coveted makeup trick to make your eyes appear wider. If you want the extreme look try a white liner but the nude is perfect and subtle.
