1. Potato Rosti

This Swiss potato recipe is kind of like a hash brown cake. All you need is potatoes, salt, pepper, butter, and olive oil to make these shredded potato cakes. Just boil the potatoes, peel off the skins, shred, season with salt and pepper, and spoon into a frying pan containing butter and oil. When spooning the shredded seasoned potatoes into the pan, make pancake sized cakes and press into the pan. Turn once, then enjoy! 9. Alfredo Potatoes

Scalloped potatoes are an old favorite, and this potato recipe is similar, but takes center stage as a full meal.
