10 Bubble Tea Recipes To Try At Home

You’re probably missing getting your classic bubble tea order on your way to school or work. Bubble tea is actually really easy to make at home! It’s also a really fun activity to do with your roommates so you can all learn how to make each other bubble tea orders at home. This saves you time and money that it would take to go out and purchase the bubble tea yourself. Once you know the ingredients you’ll be able to make your own bubble tea right at home. 

1. Classic Milk Tea Bubble Tea

Ingredients: 

Quick-cooking tapioca pearls

Toppings of your choice

8 bags of black tea

4 cups of hot water

Whole milk

Simple syrup or your choice of sweetener

-Seep the tea bags into the hot water and leave until the water is totally cooled.

-Cook the tapioca pearls following bag instructions.

-After cooking mix pearls in water then stir in simple syrup.

-Put tapioca pearls into glasses then add ice. Pour in the cooled down black tea. Add in simple syrup then the milk of your choice for a delicious and easy at-home milk bubble tea.

2. Mango Bubble Tea

Ingredients:

Quick-cooking tapioca pearls

2 green tea bags

250 ml of boiling water

2 tablespoons honey

1 ripe mango

2 oranges juiced

Directions:

-Boil tea bags for about 5 minutes. Stir in the honey then set aside and let cool. Then refrigerate till cold.

-Cook tapioca pearls as instructed on the bag.

-With a blender blend the mango flesh and orange juice. Pour the mango puree with the tea and tapioca. Mix well for a fruity mango bubble tea.

3. Matcha Bubble Tea

750 ml of milk

2 tablespoons match powder

80 grams of sugar

Directions:

-Cook tapioca pearls as instructed on the bag.

-Bring milk to a boil then mix in sugar and matcha powder. Cool the milk mixture in the fridge. 

-Once the mixture is cooled pour into cups with ice and tapioca pearls.

1 cup of Thai tea mix

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup half and half

-Boil water then add Thai tea pack with sugar. Once dissolved and boiling for a few minutes remove from heat.

-Allow tea mix to steep for about 30 minutes till cooled down.

5. Taro Slush Bubble Tea

Ingredients:

Quick-cooking tapioca pearls

2 cups ice

3 tablespoons taro powder

1 tablespoon condensed milk

-Cook tapioca pearls as instructed on the bag.

-Combine ice, whole milk, taro powder, and condensed milk in a blender and blend until smooth. -Add ice or more milk to adjust to preferred smoothie thickness.

6 tablespoons sugar

1 cup strong brewed green tea (chilled)

10. Brown Sugar Bubble Tea

1/2 cup water

1 cup milk

-For the brown sugar syrup combine the brown sugar and water in a saucepan and boil at high heat. Lower to medium and let the mixture bubble for about 5 minutes till it thickens. Put in a bowl and let cool at room temperature. 

-Pour brown sugar syrup onto the sides of the desired glass and pour in the desired amount of tapioca pearls.

-Mix together well milk and the brown sugar syrup till well combined then pour the drink into the decorated glass.
