As if it weren’t obvious by now, brunch is by far the best meal of the day! There’s something almost sacred about waking up on a lazy weekend morning, putting on some cute — and comfy — clothes and meeting up with your friends for a delicious meal. From yummy pastries to trendy smoothie bowls, brunch is the one place for all things eye-catching and mouthwatering. Thanks to these delicious and photogenic plates, brunch is also the trendiest and most Instagrammable meal out there, and what better place to try these foods than the trendiest city in America: Los Angeles, California! Check out these places for brunch in LA that won’t disappoint.
If you’re looking for a cute, “so-LA” place to grab brunch with friends after an early morning at the beach, look no further than Great White Venice. Great White is a happy, little cafe with plenty of healthy, yet delicious food and is always packed with the budding media influencer crowd, so get ready to feel very “LA.” Make sure to get their signature blue algae smoothie bowl for the perfect snap AND the chance to eat blue food — always a treat!
Republique is the French food haven you’ve been dreaming about and now’s your chance to make this dream a reality. With its extensive menu filled with creative pieces like a caviar bagel (surprisingly under $20) and sweet chia pudding, you’ll find yourself wanting to order everything on the menu. Plus it’s all so photogenic you’re going to want to take loads of pictures before you start digging in. Just beware, it is a bit on the pricier side due to its high-quality ingredients, so I would come prepared to shell out some dollars if you want the full experience for brunch in LA.
All you have to do is hop onto Instagram or Youtube and you’ll be sure to see tons of posts about the amazing food or epic scenery at Malibu Farm. Located along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway, this brunch spot has absolutely stunning views of the cliffs and the ocean that’ll make you never want to leave. At the start of the Malibu Pier lies the sit down restaurant and at the other end is the cafe which is strictly counter service. Whether you’re looking for a sit down brunch with your friends or just grabbing some pastries before a day spent out on the water, Malibu Farm has got it all for you for brunch in LA!
With its great vibe and cool location in the middle of the North Hollywood Arts District, EAT NOHO has been on the rise recently. EAT is known for its affordability while still delivering with incredible eats. There’s a huge variety of dishes from healthy alternatives to traditional brunch, to trendy new ones. Come early if you don’t want a long wait, because lines are common on the weekends. The atmosphere of the diner is described casual, but overall always a great experience for brunch in LA!
Our final brunch spot has a bit of an odd name (a combination of “squirrel” and “girl,” but there’s nothing weird about this place. Sqirl actually started off as a jam company, but developed into a hip, new breakfast spot. The food is fresh, delicious, refreshing and will leave you with a newfound appreciation for creative cuisine.
