7 Breakfast Meals That Are Creative And Easy To Make

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why do so many people skip it? Maybe it’s because breakfast is too boring for them to eat. Maybe it’s because they just don’t want cereal again. You just need to find more creative ways to eat breakfast.

I love finding creative breakfast meals to try. It’s my favorite meal of the day, so I know how to make it fun. Try some of these meals and then tell me you don’t want to eat breakfast. These are some of my favorite ways to eat the same food people find boring. I hope you enjoy them!

1. Sheet Pan Breakfast Bake

This is one of the typical American breakfast meals. Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and cheese are all included in this baking sheet meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (20 ounces) refrigerated hashbrown potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons of freshly grated parmesan
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh chives, chopped

Steps:

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and lightly coat a baking sheet with oil. Place the hashbrowns in a single layer on the baking sheet.

2. Stir butter, olive oil, thyme, basil, oregano, and garlic powder in a bowl. Pour over the hashbrowns, making sure you coat everything with the mixture. Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.

3. Place into the oven and bake until the edges start to brown, about 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven and create six wells. Add the bacon slices and eggs. Gently crack the egg over the baking sheet and keep the yolk intact. Sprinkle the eggs with parmesan and season with salt and pepper.

4. Place into the oven again and bake until the bacon and eggs are cooked about 10-12 additional minutes. Garnish with chives, if wanted, and serve immediately. Enjoy!

2. Cheesy Sausage and Egg Breakfast Sliders

Sliders are the best dinner, so obviously, breakfast sliders are going to be amazing breakfast meals. I hope you enjoy this breakfast slider recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 (12 ounces) pork sausages
  • 12 Hawaiian dinner rolls
  • 8 large eggs, scrambled
  • 6 slices of pepper jack cheese
  • 8 slices of American cheese
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

Steps:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Warm large skillet over medium heat. Form sausage into 12 patties, slightly larger than one dinner roll. Add sausage to skillet and cook until completely cooked through.

2. Cut the rolls in half lengthwise, making sure not to break the rolls. Place the bottoms in a 9×13 inch baking sheet, setting the tops aside. Scoop the scrambled eggs onto bottom rolls. Place the pepper jack cheese over the eggs, with the sausage on top of the pepper jack and the American cheese on top of the sausage. Carefully place the top buns over the American cheese.

3. Combine melted butter and maple syrup into a bowl. Brush over the top of the rolls and allow the sauce to drip down the sides. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and melted. Enjoy!

3. French Toast Nuggets

French toast is a really cinnamony breakfast meal, but the pieces of bread are too big to eat. These nuggets are the same amazing breakfast, in a fraction of the size.

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of white bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons of butter, for frying
  • Cinnamon and Sugar Topping
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Steps:

1. Tear each slice of bread into 4 equal pieces. You can cut the crust off if you want to. Roll each piece of bread into a tight ball. Mix the eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla in a small bowl with a whisk. Dip each ball of bread into the egg mixture to lightly coat it.

2. Melt the butter in a large fry pan. Fry the nuggets in the butter until golden brown. This step might have to be done twice, depending on the size of the pan. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a large zip back.

3. Place all of the cooked nuggets into the cinnamon and sugar into the bag. Zip the top and shake to mix the nuggets. Enjoy!

4. Cinnamon Roll Coffee Cake

Cinnamon rolls taste really good, and coffee cakes taste really good. So, combining the two of them would definitely taste amazing together, right? Try these breakfast meal recipes and let me know what you think.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 4 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk

Topping:

  • 1 cup of butter, melted
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Glaze:

  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Steps:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix all the cake ingredients together until well combined. Pour into a greased 9×13 inch pan.

2. For the topping: Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined. Spread evenly on the batter and swirl with a knife. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

3. For the glaze: Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until it is the consistency of pancake syrup. While warm, drizzle the glaze over the cake and it will set into a harder glaze. Serve warm or at room temperature.

5. Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats

Oats normally need to be baked before you eat them, but if you just put them in the refrigerator overnight, it’s almost like they’re being cooked. Breakfast meals with oats can be made the night before.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of old-fashioned oats
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of strawberry Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup of diced strawberries (fresh or frozen)

1. Mix all of the ingredients together and pour them into a mason jar. Let the oat mixture sit in the refrigerator overnight, or at least for two hours.

6. Overnight Pumpkin Spice Baked French Toast Casserole

Pumpkin bread is one of my favorite breakfast meals, and I love French toast, too. Making French toast out of pumpkin bread is an amazing idea.

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of sourdough or French bread
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of light brown sugar, loosely packed
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups of canned pumpkin puree

Topping:

  • 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup of firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon of ground clove
  • 1/8 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Steps:

1. Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish with butter. Cut bread into 1-inch chunks and spread evenly in the bottom of the casserole dish.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and pumpkin. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread, getting all the bread wet with the mixture. Cover the casserole and store it in the fridge for several hours or overnight.

3. Topping: Combine the flour, brown sugar, spices, and salt. Add the butter and cut into the dry mixture until it all comes together to form a crumble. This can be stored in the fridge overnight, too.

4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Crumble the streusel topping evenly over the top of the casserole, covering as much of it as you can. Bake for 45 minutes for a softer, moister texture. Bake for an hour for a more firm texture.

5. When the casserole is ready, serve with warm syrup and other toppings, like powdered sugar, pecans, or fresh fruit.

7. Berries and Cream Cereal Bars

Cereal can be kind of boring to eat, especially if you eat it every day. But making breakfast bars out of cereal makes it less boring to eat. Try this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 10 ounces of mini marshmallows
  • 1 box of Cheerios Very Berry Cereal
  • 1 package of freeze-dried strawberries
  • 1 bag of white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • Nonstick spray

Steps:

1. Spray a 9×13 inch pan with nonstick spray. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows and stir until just melted. Remove pan from heat and add in Cheerios and dried berries.

2. Stir well and press into the prepared pan. Allow the mixture to cool well before cutting it into 16 bars.

3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the coconut oil and the white chocolate chips, in 30-second bursts. Stir in between each melting. Dip the bars in the melted chocolate, and set them aside on parchment paper. Let them cool down and enjoy!
