Body butter is an essential product in anyone’s skincare arsenal, but sometimes it’s quite difficult to get one that’s just right. Often the body butters that are best for your skin either don’t smell all that nice, or lack any fragrance whatsoever, whereas products that smell great can sting and irritate your skin. So, to help you out, we’ve compiled a list of body butters that both feel great and smell amazing. Enjoy!
With Shea Butter and Aloe Vera extract, combined with Soap and Glory’s signature “pink” scent, The Righteous Butter is a staple favourite, not only for it’s smell, but it’s slightly thicker consistency for easy application, and silky soft finish; not to mention the fact that it’s quantity to price ratio is fantastic- this product lasts forever, and only costs a tenner. (Plus Soap and Glory do it in their mini range so you can try it out for £2.50, just to be sure!)

This gorgeous body butter from The Body Shop combines honey and almond milk for a delicate smell that is not at all overpowering, it’s lightweight consistency meaning that though it perfectly moisturises dry skin, it also absorbs really quickly, without leaving your skin greasy or sticky. Not only at £6 is this product great value for money, it’s also really environmentally friendly, The Body Shop being firmly against animal- testing, and staunchly for ethical business and combatting climate change.

This is our favourite scent in all of Jo Malone’s bodycare collection: the beautiful warm fragrance of orange blossom combined with soft tones of water lily, almond and cocoa, this body crème makes your skin smell simply heavenly. It is of course, at the higher end of the price range, but the divine perfume and silky feel of this product makes the investment 100% worth it.

There’s something positively magical about having a spray-on moisturiser: to be able to spray on your skin care products without any excess on your hands etc. is deliciously modern. The cocoa fragrance in this lotion is surprisingly non-overpowering, and gives off a lovely, mild scent. As it’s a Vaseline product, this body moisturiser is really great for dry skin too!

Call us obsessed, but when it comes to great smelling skincare, we have to end with another Body Shop product. The thing about the Moringa fragrance is that it is so beautifully fresh, and therefore avoids the sickly sweetness of other body products. This body butter leaves your skin feeling clear and nourished, moisturising it for up to 24 hours!
