The 10 Best Travel Makeup Palettes You Need In Your Carry On

It is finally summertime, which means you are probably traveling a lot more than you were during the dreary, cold winter. I despise carrying lots of heavy bags when I travel, so I always try to minimize the items I bring so I can travel light. Because of this, I can’t bring all the makeup I have at home, I need to be selective in which I choose all while making sure I have what I need for the occasion. If you travel a lot, it may be even easier to get separate traveling makeup so that you know you don’t forget anything because it stays in your travel bag. Here are 10 of the best travel makeup palettes that you need in your carry on bag.

Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Palette

I got this pallet for Christmas one year and it is my favorite pallet for daytime looks. This is the more compact version of the Naked2 palette, which is a cooler version of the original Naked palette. The colors are super neutral ranging from pale nude to deep smokey brown. It is a great product for a subtle smokey eye or just a singular overall color for your lids.

Bobby Brown Corrector

Are you a victim of tired eyes? Say goodbye to dark circles with this corrector by Bobby Brown. Bobby Brown is one of my favorite makeup companies and travel makeup palettes. It not only corrects dark circles but also brightens to give you a nice glow.

TheBalm in of Your Hand Volume 2 Palette

If you’re looking for an all in one face palette this is the one. It includes 4 eye shadows, 3 blushes, a matte bronzer, and a champagne colored highlighter. The colors are also super pigmented.

Maybelline New York Gilded Makeup Kit Palette, Gold

This is a great pick if you’re looking for a more affordable option. It includes everything you could need – eye shadows and liner, blush, highlighter and lip color. All you need is to throw some mascara in your bag and you’re ready to go. It’s also great to carry in your purse in case you need to do some touch ups throughout the day.

Naked2 Basics, Naked on the Run Palette

Another Naked palette (are you surprised?), however, this palette is not solely focused on eye shadow, and it isn’t only for a daytime look. It is a little pricier, but sometimes you have to pay for quality. This product comes with six new shades of eye shadow, bronzer, blush, a full-size Naked Ultra Nourishing Lip Gloss and travel-sizes of the 24/7 Eye Pencil and Perversion Mascara. You can’t go wrong with this!

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Palette

This palette is limited edition so get it while you can! The great thing about this eyeshadow palette is that there are no “throw away” colors. I hate purchasing a palette and loving all of the colors except for two or three. With these Tarte travel makeup palettes being convenient and compact, you don’t run into that issue.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dream Glow Kit

If highlighters are your thing and you’re looking for a really fun kit you should invest in this one. The six different highlighters are described as iridescent and metallic. These highlighters can also duel as eyeshadows. The highlighters are named “wish, unicorn, ethereal, magic, sunshine, and regal” and they are simply divine.

Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette

This is a very simple but effective palette if you’re looking for luminous blush and highlighters which is great for daytime looks when you’re traveling. Plus, it’s Dior, so how can you go wrong?

Starlust Holographic Highlight Palette

If you’re a little more advanced with makeup than the average person (aka not me) then this would be a cool palette to experiment with. This highlighter changes hue in different lighting which is awesome. You can apply it from the top of the cheekbone to temple, on the bridge of the nose, and on the brow bones. If you want to go crazy you can also put some on your shoulders and collarbone.

Violet Voss The Rainbow Eyeshadow Palette

This is another fun product to pack if you are planning a trip where you will be going out at night. The colors are super vibrant, pigmented, bold, and versatile.
