Kylie Jenner is an extremely successful influencer. A lot of people make fun of the Kardashians and Jenners for being famous for nothing but they are actually some of the best influencers. If a company wants a product sold, they should go to them. Kylie Jenner is one of the most influential people on Instagram. She has more dedicated followers than her older sister, Kim Kardashian. Ky is paid about $1.2 million on every single instagram post…meanwhile, most of us won’t even make that in our entire life. She is definitely a fashion favorite, appearing at the front row of runway shows and red carpets.
Speaking of red carpets…after a lot of research, I found that Kylie has never really had a bad red carpet moment. Some aren’t as good as other looks but they are never on the “Worst Red Carpet Looks” that always come out right after an event. Anyways, below (in no particular order) are some of Kylie’s highest and lowest rated red carpet moments.
Kylie wore this dress to the Met Gala, where she was accompanied by Travis Scott in 2018. This strapless black Alexander Wang gown was iconic because she had only had Stormi a few months prior. You really never would have known. Kylie brought it with her satin bra, flowy skirt, and sunglasses (she couldn’t see out of them). Her hair was put into a loose bun to draw more attention to her glasses. The sunglasses are made of crystals and they were supposed to be another form of jewelry (other than the same old earrings, bracelets, and necklaces).
Kylie wore this bespoke Versace gown with matching feather sleeves at the 2019 Met Gala. She wasn’t seen out a lot, so she wanted to make even more of a statement. And she did just that. This lilac dress was inspired by showgirls and camp. It took the Versace seamstresses 30 days to finish this dress in Milan. They worked off a mannequin that had Kylie’s measurements to a T. She wore a second skin to accentuate her curves. Kylie couldn’t decide whether to wear a hat or sleeves. Both Khloe and Kendall agreed that it had to be sleeves. The appearance was even more amazing when Kendall also wore a bespoke Versace orange dress. They were definitely the showstoppers for this Met Gala.
Kylie showed off this hot white skintight dress for Travis Scott’s Netflix documentary premiere, Look Mom I can Fly. Not only did Kylie walk the carpet with Travis but Stormi made an appearance. The back of her dress had a criss cross design. She added to her all white outfit with white heels. When she wore this dress, fans thought she was trying to foreshadow that she was going to get married.
Kylie wore this custom Balmain gown to her first Met Gala in 2016 and it actually made her bleed. After the Met Gala, she was posting snapchats about her legs being scratched up from the seriously embellished dress but she said it was well worth it. The dress has full beaded sleeves with a fringed skirt. The designer is known for making the dresses look romantic and edgy at the same time. Her hair made her look even more elegant with the sleek black bob. Good job on your first Met Gala, Kylie!
At the 2021 72nd Annual Parsons Benefit, Kylie was accompanied by Travis and 3-year old Stormi. Kylie’s sexy iconic curve-hugging Jean Paul Gaultier dress featured a cone bra with a zipper in the front and she paired the dress with sheer olive gloves. This vintage dress is from 1987. Also, we can’t forget about the $380k Birkin she was carrying around, which is one of the most expensive purses. Both Stormi and Travis were wearing Bottega Veneta.
Kylie wore an amazing Versace dress with a platinum blonde bob wig. People actually have called this the naked dress because of the color and how much skin is showing. Her whole look was somewhat similar to her 2016 Met Gala dress with her black bob and silver figure-hugging fringe dress. This 2017 look took it a step up. She had metal flower, shells, and swinging fringe all over her dress. A lot of people actually thought she got her inspiration from Beyonce’s 2015 Met Gala look but no one knows for sure.
Even though this dress is clearly not ugly and it is cute. It definitely is boring. It looks like something I literally wore to prom. She added to this look with mesh heels, gold cuffs, and silver necklaces. I think she made her whole look a little too effortless. She chose to keep her green locks with an effortless low bun.
Kylie was 18 at this Golden Globes. She was accompanied by her sister, Kourtney Kardashian. This outfit wasn’t her best because it didn’t show off her body well. Nowadays, Kylie’s outfits are skin tight or show off her body in the best way but I think Kylie was still learning at this point. She was trying to show off her versatility with her Disney-like dress. She wore her hair up to show off her dress.
Kylie was accompanied by Travis to the 2019 Grammys. This Balmain Couture pink jumpsuit confused her fans. Everyone was like, “this isn’t Kylie’s style.” She usually goes for fitted dresses and this jumpsuit barely showed any skin. Also, I mean the attached gloves were very strange and fans did not like the innovative look. She definitely could not swipe on her phone. Her jumpsuit was inspired by the space-age. It had a small keyhole cutout with a white panel around her waist.
