Grange Restaurant & Bar
Inside of the striking Citizen Hotel is Grange, a high-end, swanky bar and farm-to-fork restaurant. The high ceilings and industrial beams add a very cool edge. This place is great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and their cocktails are fantastic!
Ella Dining Room
If you’re looking for a fancy dinner, head to Ella. This place is a Sacramento staple. It’s grand interior and nice patio are the perfect backdrop to any romantic date. Their food menu runs through cultural themes, and their cocktail menu mimics it. Pro tip: even though Ella is on the pricey side, their happy hour is a steal. Don’t miss their amazing gin and house made tonic – only $6.50 during happy hour!
Flamingo House
First off, Flamingo House is in a pink Victorian house, so that’s enough of a reason to check out this interesting bar. The inside is just as vibrant as the outside, with graphic floral wallpaper and feather chandeliers. On Sunday nights, they have silent discos. Plus, Demi Lovato shot her Billboard spread here!
The Press Bistro
This is one of my favorite date spots. It’s got a cozy, cool atmosphere, and they give fantastic service. If you can’t get a table, head to the bar for an equally great dining experience. Their menu starts with tapas, which are great for sharing. Get whatever homemade pasta they are serving at the time, you won’t regret it. They also serve great wine!
Zocalo
Zocalo is a great Mexican restaurant nestled on the corner of a busy area in Midtown Sacramento. The restaurant is grand and elevated, yet still has a very casual vibe. Stop here for a great happy hour on the patio and order the blackberry margarita!
Kru
Loved by most Sacramento residents, Kru is the spot to go for sushi and Japanese cuisine. Their new location is fabulous, and the food does not disappoint. Pair the great ambiance and food with their fantastic craft cocktail bar, and you’re in for a treat! These are just some of the best Sacramento restaurants!
Federalist Public House
Housed inside shipping containers, this wood-fire oven pizza and beer spot is a must visit! They’re always rocking rotating local beers on tap and have a bocci ball court. This is also a great place to meet friends on the weekend for a relaxing day.
