Hook & Ladder Manufacturing Co.

Looking to enjoy a great cocktail on a beautiful patio? Head to Hook & Ladder. Their back patio isn’t known by everyone, but it’s definitely a major highlight of this cute restaurant. Their food and cocktail menus are always changing with the seasons and you can expect to find cozy Hot Toddies in the winter and refreshing Sangria in the summer.

Grange Restaurant & Bar

Inside of the striking Citizen Hotel is Grange, a high-end, swanky bar and farm-to-fork restaurant. The high ceilings and industrial beams add a very cool edge. This place is great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and their cocktails are fantastic!

Ella Dining Room

If you’re looking for a fancy dinner, head to Ella. This place is a Sacramento staple. It’s grand interior and nice patio are the perfect backdrop to any romantic date. Their food menu runs through cultural themes, and their cocktail menu mimics it. Pro tip: even though Ella is on the pricey side, their happy hour is a steal. Don’t miss their amazing gin and house made tonic – only $6.50 during happy hour!

Flamingo House

First off, Flamingo House is in a pink Victorian house, so that’s enough of a reason to check out this interesting bar. The inside is just as vibrant as the outside, with graphic floral wallpaper and feather chandeliers. On Sunday nights, they have silent discos. Plus, Demi Lovato shot her Billboard spread here!

The Press Bistro

This is one of my favorite date spots. It’s got a cozy, cool atmosphere, and they give fantastic service. If you can’t get a table, head to the bar for an equally great dining experience. Their menu starts with tapas, which are great for sharing. Get whatever homemade pasta they are serving at the time, you won’t regret it. They also serve great wine!
