Best products for curly haired girls
Keeping up with your hair can be a hassle, but when you have curly hair, it is much more difficult to style. If the products you are using are too drying, your hair will frizz and if the product is too concentrated, your hair will lose volume. It is a slippery slope and can be hard to have your hair styled to your liking.
Since curls come in all different patterns and textures, finding the perfect hair products to use on them can be tough. For me, I have frizzy loose curls and it took me years to find a routine that doesn’t dry my hair out, weigh it down or make it look greasy. But the hair products I use might not necessarily be good for girls with different hair textures and styles from me.
With that, here are some hair products for different types of curly haired girls.
Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie
This product is perfect for girls with a looser curl pattern. This hair product will moisturize your hair and give you the bouncy curl you always dreamed of. If your hair frizzes, this hair product will nip that problem in the bud. Also the shine your hair will give off will make this product one of your favorites. If your hair needs to be received, this hair smoothie has vitamins and oils that will give it a whole new look. You just use it once a week and that will do the trick. I saw immediate results when I used this product and you hopefully will too. Shea Moisturealso has a bunch of other products that are healthy and great for your hair for a reasonable price. A lot of curly hair products are expensive, but Shea Butter both performs well and does not drain your bank account. It is perfect.
Garnier Sleek and Shine
If you are looking for a great quality product on the cheaper end, Sleek and Shine is perfect for you. I used this product for years and it did me well. It is not necessarily the best product I have ever used, but it is great for what you are paying for. Your hair will look healthy and shiny if you use this product. Just make sure you don’t put too much in your hair. I have made that mistake before and it completely weighed down my hair. This product is meant for loose curls and might not be suitable for a tighter curl pattern.
Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls
I personally don’t use this product often because it is meant for people with a tighter curl pattern, but I have and had great results. If you have loose curled hair like me, a little goes a long way so don’t use too much. But if you have tighter curls, this is the product for you. This hair product quite literally makes you hair weightless and creates natural and luscious volume. Not to mention, your hair will shine brighter than ever before. Because of the oils in the product, you do not have to worry about your hair drying out with Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls. No frizz and no fall out. What more could you ask for?
Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls
This is another great product from Miss Jessie’s line. I don’t own this product but no some people who do argue that this is the best Gel for curly hair. Some gels leave your hair heavy and flaky, but this hair product does no such thing. It is also great if you are trying to slick back your hair into a bun or ponytail and don’t want to fly always or stray curls. Also, shine is great for hair and makes it look healthy, but some gels have too much shine to the point where light could be reflecting off of your head. With this hair product, the shine is not overwhelming at all.
Function of Beauty
Function of beauty is a unique company for many reasons. But the main gimmick of their company is that they customize the products you want to purchase from them to your hair type. Whether you have fine, thick, tight curls or straight hair, they have so many products that are made perfectly to you. Most companies do not do this and it is a very innovative idea. I have not personally used their products, but know many people who are avid buyers of Function of Beauty. If you have brittle hair, they also have products that will bond the keratin back in it and revinate it.
Bumble and bumble. Surf Spray
Bumble and bumble. Surf Spray is a perfect product for you if you want to have perfect beach hair without attending the beach. This product adds volume without making your hair frizz up. I have used beach hair sprays in the past and I ended up having a bunch of frizz, but this product is different from the others. Salt based products can leave your hair tangly, but this hair product still keeps your hair kempt. The only thing I do have to say about it is it can be drying if you add too much spray to your hair. Salt water will dry out any hair, so a little definitely goes a long way. This product also does not work like a cream hair product and should be used with other products.
Hair products are important for the health of your mane and help define it and keep it put together. The process of creating a hair routine with a good line of products on the other hand takes a lot of trial and error. That is why I made this list and I do hope I made this process easier. It took me years to style my curls to my liking and sometimes I still get frustrated with the outcome of my hair, but once you have a hair routine, just like any routine, it is all worth it.
