To travel after graduation is probably one of the best things you can do! It’s the perfect time to travel, especially if you didn’t have the opportunity to study abroad. Before you make a major commitment, visit these places after graduation, explore the world, and make memories!
New Zealand is a place I wish I got to travel after graduation! With stunning landscapes, you can also explore lava tubes, wine taste on an island, or go bungee jumping. Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand, so that’s probably where your flight will land, but you should check out the bay of islands if you have sea legs.
Sticking with the island theme, Hawaii is a must-see. It was ranked as the number one cheapest place to live in the U.S. in 2019. It’s hot in more ways than one and home to the legendary pink and black sands. You can explore the numerous amount of gorgeous waterfalls, swim with dolphins, whale watching, and attend a luau.
Japan is another place to travel after graduation. It has a fascinating culture that dates back centuries and is ripe with ancient temples and traditional foods. Not to mention all the beautiful cherry blossoms!
Between the wacky, insane architecture and the hotter-than-holy-hell beaches, Barcelona is an incredible place to visit, or so I’ve heard. Check out the Gothic Quarter, which is the oldest section of Spain filled with Roman and Medieval-era architecture. This particular part of Barcelona is also near the city center, which houses lively shops, bars, clubs, and restaurants. If you’re a big fan of art, then you’re in luck because they have a whole museum dedicated to one of the most legendary artists of all time, Pablo Picasso.
There are plenty of cities you can visit that each has a different vibe than the last! LA, Sanfrisco, San Diego, or Oakland. It’s such a beautiful place and you won’t need a passport to visit! If you’re not the big city type, maybe go to Northern California to explore the mountains and national parks to get away from society before you start the dreaded 9-5. Lake Tahoe is also a good place to visit if you’re into hiking, mountain biking, and just genuinely love being outdoors.
You’ve visited the city of angels, now’s the time to visit the city of sin. Vegas is perfectly named because there’s no shortage of debauchery. This is the city that truly never sleeps, except for during the day, of course. Vegas is littered with things to do other than gambling too.
You can climb the 1,149 feet tall, the Stratosphere Observation Deck which is the tallest observation tower in the U.S. and no Vegas trip is complete without seeing the stunning Bellagio fountains either. You can even go to Exotics racing to drive a superfast sportscar or drop a bank load on luxury clothing at any of the shops in vegas.
With this adventurous choice, you can explore a canal on a fancy boat, which is said to be the best way to explore the city. Catch a concert at the Paradiso, a converted church, or check out the Amsterdam’s coffee shops. As a tourist classic, they are less known for coffee than they are for weed.
Another place to travel after graduation if you want to keep your adventure in-house. No trip to New Orleans is complete without a visit to the oldest part of the city, the French Quarter. Participate in the nightly escapades on Bourbon Street, try all the delicious cuisine, or, if you’re a music junkie, check out Preservation Hall. This hidden gem is a venerable jazz club that’s sure to get you to vibe in the hot weather as you sip your drink. I
