Best Places To Get Breakfast On Lake Winnipesaukee

If you find yourself traveling to New Hampshire, Lake Winnipesaukee is the place to stay. Not only is it beautiful but it is packed with so many great things to experience. With that being said, a vacation is never complete without pre-planning your meals. That is where I come in. I am here to help you with your breakfast essentials, so here are the best breakfast places to visit around Lake Winni.

Waterfall Cafe

This charming little cafe is located in Meredith, NH. The vibe of the space is that of an old lake house so it is quite fitting for New Hampshire. One downside is that the space is pretty small so seating is limited, I recommend calling ahead to see how busy they are. A big plus is that it’s located right off of the town docks in Meredith, making it very convenient if you are out on the lake for the day. The food is delicious and they have a decent menu selection to choose from. Though I have never tried them myself, they are known for their breakfast burritos. Waterfall Cafe is definitely a place to try out if you’re in the area.

Due to COVID-19 they are temporarily closed but as soon as they reopen, it’s a must.

Winnipesaukee Bay Gulls

Winnipesaukee Bay Gulls is located in Moultonborough, NH but they have another location in Gilford, NH. This little breakfast place is perfect if you want a fresh bagel or breakfast sandwich and you are on the go. There is a little bit of seating inside the restaurant, but not much. All of their bagels are made fresh that day and there is a variety of cream cheeses and toppings to choose from. Highly recommend coming here.

Lydia’s Cafe

Lydia’s Cafe is located in Wolfeboro, NH, and is a fantastic place to get breakfast or even lunch. This cafe is pretty small so seating is limited, but the food is well worth the wait. They have top-notch omelets, pancakes, and coffee. Lydia’s is also pretty inexpensive and located right on the main street so you will not have to walk far from the docks if you are coming by boat. Could not recommend coming here more.

Sunshine and Pa’s

Sunshine and Pa’s is located in Meredith, NH. It is a pretty small location so you have to be mindful that there will not be much room for seating. The food is pretty good and there is a nice view of the water from the front. Sunshine and Pa’s is not my absolute favorite on this list but it has good food and friendly staff and that is really all that matters.

Ames Farm Inn

Ames Farm is an adorable little bed and breakfast located in Gilford, NH right on the water. My favorite part of this location is looking out the window at the stunning view of Lake Winnipesaukee. This quaint little breakfast place has excellent basic breakfast foods and a homey feel. I would personally recommend the blueberry pancakes! The staff is all very attentive and friendly and provide great service. Just be warned if you are coming here on the weekends there will be a wait, but again, that is pretty typical for locations around Lake Winnipesaukee.

Seven Suns

Seven Suns is located in Wolfeboro, NH, and is probably my favorite place on this list to get breakfast at on Lake Winnipesaukee. They have everything from crepes to coffee and I have never had a disappointing experience. A super cool element to Seven Suns is that they have Kombucha on draft! This is such a fun and unique place to go so you absolutely must visit here. I must warn you though that Seven Suns is a pretty popular location so you should expect a decent wait time.

Lakehouse Grille

Located in Meredith, NH Lakehouse Grille is definitely one of the prettiest locations on this list. With excellent views of Lake Winnipesaukee, it’s a real winner. Lakehouse Grille has a wide selection of brunch foods perfect for a family outing or a couples getaway. The food is very good but I think the true shining element at this location is the omelet station. Here, you can custom order any omelet with any toppings and since it is made right in front of you, you know it’s fresh. This location, like many of the others, is right by the town docks so you can easily take a boat there but there is also plenty of parking if you choose to drive.

48 Main Cafe & Creperie

48 Main Cafe and Creperie is located in Meredith, NH and is an adorable family-owned crepe location. The service is amazing and there are many options to choose from. It doesn’t matter if you prefer a sweet or a savory crepe because they have both! I promise you you won’t be disappointed if you come here. This location is about a 5-minute walk from the town docks so you won’t have any views of the water but the homey ambiance and incredible food make up for it.

George’s Diner

George’s Diner is a small restaurant located in Meredith, NH. With classic comfort foods and reasonable prices, you can’t go wrong here. The staff is also super friendly and attentive, making the dining experience that much better. George’s Diner is a little past Sunshine and Pa’s which I mentioned earlier so it is a little away from the water, but still a fairly quick and easy walk to make.

Kitchen Cravings

Last up I have Kitchen Cravings, located in Gilford, NH. The food here is excellent and the portion sizes are huge. It’s a little on the pricier side, likely due to it being a touristy location, but nothing crazy. The only downside is that it is not by the water or within walking distance of any docks so you will need to be driving to visit here. I should warn you that the ambiance is not exactly 5-stars, but it is somehow fitting for its location in New Hampshire so I didn’t mind too much.
