There seems to be a stereotype that all college students eat is ramen. I’m here to confirm that yes, while a six pack of ramen is probably in every freshman’s dorm room, our favorite late night snack is a perfectly cooked, sizzling hot pizza. Morgantown, WV boasts numerous pizza places that rank 4 out of 5 stars or higher. Here are just a few that are a short walking distance from class, the PRT, or just around the town. Keep reading to find out where the best pizza in Morgantown is!
Lotsa Stone Fired Pizza is located on High Street in Morgantown. Their hours cater to the typical college student, from 11 o’clock in the morning the wee hours of 4 o’clock in the morning. Lotsa serves fresh topped pizzas, and are typically done in about 5-8 minutes and you can grab them from a friendly staff member. Be sure to get there early on Friday nights!

Pizza Al’s is located on University Avenue or Earl L Core Road in Morgantown. While their hours aren’t quite as late, their pizza is still delicious, from 11AM to 9:30PM. This pizza features a thin crust, and doesn’t empty your wallet! The only bad thing about Pizza Al’s is that when the pizza demand is high, the oven makes the building pretty toasty. This may be fine for a cold West Virginia night, but towards the end of the summer, the days here are still a little warm. It is recommended to order your pizza and eat at home. Otherwise, it’s a wonderful pizza place, with an even better pizza. They are the highest ranking pizza joint in the town, so what are you waiting for?

PeppeBroni’s Pizza is located on Chesnut Ridge Road in Morgantown. This is a laid back pizza parlor with TV’s, New York styled “pies, sandwiches, calzones, and wings.” They are typically open from 11 in the morning until 9 at night. They are a pretty small pizza place, but this restaurant is one of a kind in this college town. Major perk? You can order from GrubHub! Finally, a restaurant that actually uses this app.

The only thing holding you back from Pies and Pints is how fast the Uber can get you there. Unless you wait for the bus. Or if you paid too much to keep a car on campus. They are located at the Suncrest Towne Center. Open from 11 in the morning until midnight, Pies and Pints is a “pizzeria chain offering an array of craft beers, plus specialty pizza, salads, and sandwiches”. They are known for their huge serving sizes, reasonable food, and the “best pizza [he has] ever had in [his] life.” They are called a “must visit” from all of their customers, and have a high quality atmosphere and service.

Milano’s Pizza is located at Brookstone Plaza, and is open from 11 in the morning until 9 at night. They are a typical pizzeria with pizza, calzones, and hot Italian men… I mean sandwiches. Their prices are great for a college town, and is considered the place to eat when families visit.

With a gorgeous view of the mountains in a low-key pub setting, this place is mainly a restaurant that also sells pizza. They are known for their delicious flatbread, but I still think they have some of the best pizza in Morgantown, too. They have a great selection of craft beer on tap for those 21 and older (obviously). They are open from 11 in the morning until 9 at night, like most of the pizza places in Morgantown, and are located on Clay Street.

Last, but not least for the best pizza in Morgantown, Puglioni’s is a casual family style eatery with Italian dishes including pasta and pizza. Their bread is amazing! Locals and students claim that this is the best Italian place in the area. Everything is handmade, including their pizza and pasta dressing. They have very good prices and the servers are boasted about in the majority of their ratings. Definitely worth a stop! They are located in Chelsea Square, and open from 11-9.
