Best Looks From The CFDA Awards

The CFDA Awards are a key moment in the fashion calendar, and a must attend for loads of celebrities. Here are the best looks from the night

Laura Harrier

Laura Harrier always has some of the greatest looks on the red carpet. This sheer red polka dot dress with puffed sleeves and a high neck is a modern twist on some classic aspects. Sinching the dress with a belt adds shape to the look, and the red lip pairs with the dress. Having her hair pulled up was also definitely the right way to go with wearing a high neck, and the floor-length style of the dress adds a sophisticated edge to the outfit.

Gigi Hadid

This duck egg blue look from Gigi Hadid is a different take on the suited look we’ve been seeing on red carpets recently. The pleated skirt adds a different texture to the look, as well as the sash adding some intricate detail to the outfit. The neutral makeup adds to the subtlety of this look and doesn’t distract from the main focus of the clothes, as well as this, letting her hair hang down in soft waves creates an effortless vibe to the look. Gigi definitely has one of the best looks from the night.

Grace Elizabeth

Grace Elizabeth chose a figure-hugging patterned strapless dress for the CFDA Awards, and it definitely paid off. This dress created a slick look, especially paired with her gelled back hair and hoop earrings. The orange eye shadow added an extra pop of colour and the silver heels rounded off the put-together look. As an aside, I’m glad she decided not to add a necklace to this look, as that would have been too much going on, so keeping accessories simple was definitely the right move here.

Ciara

Ciara had hands down one of the best looks from the CFDA awards. She wore a netted off the shoulder dress with sheer elements to it which really gave off a sophisticated yet fun vibe. This floor length black gown was anything but boring, as it had cutouts in the shape of flowers all over the dress. This fun textural element was a great addition to the look and made sure it didn’t get lost in the sea of celebrities crossing the red carpet that night. With her hair half in a top knot and half in dreads framing her face, this look was simple yet effective.

Emily Ratajkowski

Let’s be honest, would it even be a best looks article without featuring EmRata?! This look was a great modern twist to a classic style, due to the colour blocking and off the shoulder aspects of this dress. The red in the dress is accented by her bold lip, and the classic curled hairstyle really completes the look. The ruffle pattern to the red part of the dress though is really what makes this look stand out, it creates a different texture whilst also looking very glamorous. This is definitely one of the best looks from the CFDA Awards.

Yara Shahidi

Yara Shahidi always pulls it out of the bag when it comes to her outfits. She has one of the freshest styles around, and this look from the CFDA awards is no exception. The wide leg red trousers give this look a sophisticated edge, whilst the motif covered top keeps it looking cool. Paired with drop down earrings and an amazing hairstyle, this was definitely one of the most innovative looks of the night. The high neck aspect to the top really keeps the look sophisticated, and the strappy heels elevate it further.
