Best Jim Pranks Of All Time On The Office

We office fans love everything about Dunder Mifflin, from Jim and Pam’s iconic love story, to Michael Scott’s most epic cringe moments! But perhaps what we love most, are the crazy pranks Jim pulls on fellow salesman Dwight Schrute. Oh, poor Dwight. We can all agree that Dwight takes the brunt of most of these pranks, right? At some point, you almost feel sorry for the guy… Almost. Scroll down and check out the best Jim pranks ever! We dare you not to laugh!

William M. Buttlicker

In this infamous prank, Jim and Dwight have both gotten poor customer reviews, so it’s up to Michael Scott to “micromanage” them. During a mock call (in classic Jim fashion), Jim creates the character of William M. Buttlicker, who requests that Micahel fire the salesman who treated him so terribly (Dwight) in order to land a million-dollar sale.

♦Professor Copperfield’s Miracle Legumes

During the office garage sale, Dwight stumbles upon Jim’s bag of Professor Copperfield’s Miracle Legumes. While Dwight thinks the beans are lame at first, and proceeds to trade his way up to a telescope, Jim has a prank in mind. During the course of the episode, Jim goes to great lengths to get rid of the beans (by pretending to smash them), but the legumes seem to suddenly reappear fully restored, and Dwight is convinced they are magical. In the end, Dwight trades his beloved telescope that he’s worked so hard to get for a bag of regular beans.

♦Vampire Jim

In this episode, a bat is on the loose, and Jim has decided to fully capitalize on this happy accident! Jim makes sure to pick at his teeth, wear dark clothes, and even “react” to garlic bread and Angela’s cross, fully convincing Dwight he is turning into a vampire. While Dwight is gravely concerned, he has no time to help Jim, as he has a bat to bag (over Meredith’s head). Best said by Dwight, “Jim is on a path now. An eternal journey. And I wish him well. But I have a destiny in this realm.”

♦Asian Jim

In one of the funniest cold opens, Jim uses his friend who is an actor to trick Dwight into thinking he has been a different race all along. What really throws Dwight is the family portrait and Pam kissing Asain Jim!

♦ The Wire

During this prank, Jim runs a thin, 500-foot red wire from Dwight’s desk to a giant telephone pole outside! Desperate to know where the wire leads, Dwight follows it, proceeding to climb up the enormous telephone pole. Jim, you really are dedicated to f****** with this guy!

♦ Identity Theft

Question: What can of bear is best? In arguably the BEST PRANK Jim ever pulled, Jim shows up to work dressed as Dwight. He’s got the look spot on, and even talks just like Dwight too, coining the infamous phrase, “Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.” But hey, stop laughing! Identity theft isn’t a joke! Millions of people suffer every year!

♦Cardboard Christmas

This prank is a true testament to Jim’s dedication to pranking Dwight. Not only did Jim wrap up most of Dwight’s office supplies, but he recreated some of them using cardboard (like Dwight’s chair), so when Dwight goes to sit down, he immediately falls hard to the floor. Merry Christmas Dwight!

♦Dwight v. Computer

During this prank, Pam and Jim team up to bring the new sales computer to life! From the moment Dwight reads “What is a Jim?” while corresponding with “the computer,” Dwight is convived the computer is gunning for him! Dwight sets off to make the most sales and defeat the computer (and also secretly impress Angela). Ultimately Dwight wins! What, he didn’t win Salesman of the Month for 13 out of the last 12 months for nothing!

♦Cellphone in the Ceiling

“That was an overreaction.” Yes, Andy, it was.

In this prank, Jim and Pam throw Andy’s cellphone into the ceiling above his desk, so whenever his phone rings, the annoying acapella ringtone blares, sending Andy into a frenzy! It’s hilarious the first couple of times, but then Andy punches a wall out of frustration. They really broke his brain, didn’t they?

♦Pavlov’s Dogs

Really a brilliant prank, Jim conducts his own experiment similar to Pavlov’s Dogs. Every time Jim reboots his computer, it makes a shutting down sound. Immediately after the sound, Jim asks Dwight if he wants an Altoid. Dwight says yes, and the process repeats itself for days, until finally, Jim reboots the computer and Dwight immediately sticks out his hand. Good boy, Dwight!

♦Gaydar

Even all the way in Stamford, Jim can pull off a pretty good prank. When Dwight calls Jim in need of a device that detects if someone is gay, Jim says he’s got him covered! Dwight is thoroughly surprised when the device beeps near his own crotch!
