12 Best Healthy Snacks To Add To Your Diet

When life gets busy and hectic, sometimes eating habits and can be put at the bottom of the to do list. Eating healthy takes forethought and some planning, which can be a pain when your mind is on other things. Here are some easy snacks to put together that are healthy for you, and the best part, are thought out for you!

1.Popcorn

I am not talking about the movie theater, smothered is something resembling butter, popcorn. Popcorn is a great healthy snack that can be made in a variety of ways, and is filled with fiber that will keep you full. If you are needing a sweeter snack, try Angies BOOMCHICKAPOP sweet and salty.

2.Apples and Almond Butter

Although this takes a little bit to put together, apples and almond butter are a great healthy snack that has the good kind of fat and protein. Almond butter is also great alternative to peanut butter because it packs more minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Justin’s Almond butter is great, with only two ingredients, and comes in a many flavors.

3.Frozen Yogurt

As an after school or after work sweet tooth grab, frozen yogurt is a great thing to keep in your fridge if you can’t kick the ice cream habit. Although this isn’t a pack and go kinda snack, it’s almost smart to have a treat that will curb your reach or something unhealthy. Next time you are staring at the ice cream section, look for Blue Bunny frozen yogurt and prepared to be amazed at the selection.

4.Rx Bars

If you are looking for a bar to keep for on the run healthy snack, the RX bars are the way to go. With all the ingredients listed on the front of the bar, in large font, these bars are super healthy and has a ton of variety to choose from. Throw some in your car and purse for a quick bit when need. Make sure to try to the Coffee Chocolate, which is my favorite.

5.Chocolate Protein bars

If you are up for the task, these protein balls are amazing and a great alternative to a granola bar. They take a little bit to make, but you can stick them in the freezer and they last for a long time. They are full of great things for you, like chia seeds, flax seeds, and rolled oats. If you have an afternoon free make sure to give these a go.

6.Cottage Cheese

Make sure to grab the non-fat or 2% cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is great to pack and go (as long as it does not sit on a hot car) and you can literally put almost anything on it to make it tasty; Fruits, chopped veggies, honey. This healthy snack fills you up and is great for weight loss. Organic Valley is a great choice, with no GMOs or added hormones.


7.Dark Chocolate

Packed with healthy fats, iron, magnesium, and antioxidants, this a great snack to keep in your purse or backpack for a quick pick me up. For health benefits, make sure you grab something more than 70% cocoa; don’t get sidetracked and go for the milk chocolate. Try out Lindt dark chocolate.

8.Tomato and Mozzarella

This can be a premade snack, and is easy to take with you, Cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, well known as the caprese salad, is tasty snack that will give you a little variety in your diet. Add a little basil and balsamic vinegar and go crazy. Grab some fresh tomatoes and fresh mozzarella for a great healthy snack.

9.Hard Boiled Eggs

In just one hard boiled egg there is 4 to 5 grams of protein with only 17 calories. That is an equation for a great snack that can help promote weight loss, if that’s your goal. 10.Cucumbers and Vinegar

11.Egg and Avocado Toast

Yep, anyone giving you scuff about liking avocado toast can suck it; avocadoes are a great source of good fat that your body needs and whole wheat toast keeps you full in between meal times. 12.Frozen Bananas Bits

If you are into frozen treats, frozen bananas are a great easy to make healthy snack that will have you thinking you are eating dessert. With a combination of peanut butter, greek yogurt, and bananas, you seriously can’t go wrong. Although this takes a little longer than a run out the door snack, it’s worth the effort!
