2001 babies, it is your year! You are finally going to be legal. Now, you can throw away that fake ID and use your real one. I want your special day to be as easy as possible, so I found you 15 drinking games to play. These drinking games are supposed to be fun but remember to drink responsibly.
To play Beer Pong, you will need 2 ping pong balls, 20 red solo cups, and your drink of choice. Set your cups up in a triangle fashion (4, 3, 2, 1) on both sides. You can pour your drink into the cups or you can just put water in them and drink your drink separately. 2 people will stand at each side of the table. Both people on one side shoot into the other team’s cups. Once both people shoot, the other two players shoot. If you make a cup, they drink that cup. Keep going until there is no more cups.
Flip cup is a relay race game. All you need for this game is 6 red solo cups with your drink inside. Both sides have 3 players. Player 1 stands at one end of the table, Player 2 stands on the side, and Player 3 stands at the other end of the table (all are on the same team). Player 1 shoots at the cups. If player 1 makes it, Player 3 drinks the cup and hands it to Player 2. Player 2 flips the cup until it is standing right side up. You want to finish before the other team.
Boxing requires you to have a clock, shot glasses, dice, and 4 people. Teams sit at opposite ends of the table and each roll a die. 1 person is helping the one who is rolling the die by being their “corner men.” The person who scores the lowest has to take the shot. The corner man refills their shot glass. I play 1 round for 1 minute. If you play this game for too long, you can end up throwing up.
21 is one of those drinking games that you need to have a good memory. In this game, players sit in the circle. One person starts by saying 1 and each person says the next number until 21. Whoever says 21 has to drink and come up with a new rule. If a player forgets a rule, they have to drink and the player next to them starts with “1” again. You can change “1” to a clap. So, instead of saying “1” the player claps then the next player says “2.” You can also change a number to a word or even a different number.
Write your own actions on each woodblock using a Sharpie. When the block is pulled, the person has to do what the block says. For example, one block can say drink if you are wearing black.
Never Have I Ever is a iconic drinking game that is even more fun when you drink. Essentially, players sit in a circle. One person starts and says “never have I ever,” and follow it with something they’ve never done. Whoever has done it, will drink.
To play “Most Likely,” you will have to sit in a circle. You can get a card game for this or you can just do it off the top of your head. One person will start it off and say something like “who is most likely to still pee the bed?” Then, everyone will point to who they think will most likely do it. However many fingers are pointed at you is how many sips you take.
For “Rage Cage,” you need about 10 red solo cups for the middle of the table and 2 ping pong balls. The game starts off with two people across from each other both drinking a cup and then bouncing a ball into the cup. If you make it after the first try, you can put the cup to the right of whoever is bouncing it at the moment. If you make it after your first try, you move put it to the person to the left of you. If the person to the left of you has the cup and so do you, you can stack them which makes them drink another cup. You don’t want to be the person who drinks the last cup because it has the most alcohol.
This game is for my vodka lovers. You just need 6 shot glasses and vodka. The host will fill up the 6 glasses with either vodka or water. They can actually make them all vodka or water. It is up to them to decide what to do. Each player grabs a shot glass and drinks it.
Straight Face is one of the funniest drink games. This will really test your poker face. You just need drinks, pens, and paper. The game starts with each player writing down one funny sentence on a piece of paper, crumpling, and putting it in the middle of everyone. Turns are then taken around the circle where each player must pick a paper strip from the pile and read it aloud. The reader has to keep a straight face while reading it aloud. If you giggle or smile, you drink.
King’s Cup requires you to have your drink of choice, a deck of cards, and one solo cup. Put the solo cup in the middle and fan out the cards around the cup. The first player grabs a card and shows it to everyone. If you drew a “2,” then you choose one person to drink. If you choose a “3,” you drink yourself. If you draw a “king,” you have to pour some of your drink into the red solo cup. The last person to draw a king will have to drink the red solo cup and the game is over. There is a lot more rules so you can look up the rest of the rules online.
Civil War is similar to drinking games like beer pong. There are 2 teams of 3 standing at both ends of the table. You will need 6 cups per player and 3 ping pong balls. You shoot across the table into the other team’s cups.
Truth or Drink is like truth or dare but without the dare. If they ask you something and you don’t want to share you just drink. This is one of those drinking games that you want to be a little tipsy to make it more fun and less scary.
To play Scavenger Hunt, you need a lot of players and the main objective is for the birthday person to find all of them throughout the night. Each player will decide if they want the birthday person to take a shot or do a dare. When they talk to that person, they have to do whatever they chose.
Birthday Trivia is one of the best drinking games to focus on the birthday girl/boy. This game is where players writes down facts or stories about the birthday person in the form of a question and multiple-choice answers. The birthday person then reads them out and everyone has to answer what they think happened. The people who are wrong have to drink!
