Best Diabetic Cocktails To Serve For Spring

Diabetic cocktails for this spring consist of a mixture of citrus flavors to offset the winter chill from the previous season. If you like citrusy non-alcoholic beverages like lemonade, then you will love these well-mixed and refreshing diabetic cocktails. Did you know that 29.1 million people in the United States have diabetes, while 8.1 million are undiagnosed and unaware of their condition?

Most people with diabetes can enjoy a limited amount of alcohol, but you need to know and understand how alcohol can affect your blood sugar. If you go to a bar, you should wear an ID that says you have diabetes. The reason you should wear this ID is that it is a precaution. Do not drink alcohol on an empty stomach or take certain medication while you are drinking: food helps you process alcohol, without food to eat with it, alcohol can affect your blood sugar for up to 24 hours after it is consumed. Before you go to bed, make sure you test your blood sugar to see if it is under 100, if so, have a small snack to replenish your blood sugar.
