The 10 Best Dessert Places In Boston To Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

If you’re balling on a budget, but looking for something fun to do with a date/your significant other/ friend, why not go out for dessert? Dinner and dessert can get pricey, but if you just head right to dessert not only will the kid inside of you be excited, but your bank account will thank you later. Or maybe you just have a craving for dessert and you’re looking for something to satisfy that. Look no further than these 10 best dessert places in Boston to satisfy your sweet tooth.

1. Max Brenner, Boylston Street, Boston.

If you lack self-restraint then I would avoid looking at their menu right this second, because it is going to make you hop on the T and go right away. They have so many mouthwatering desserts, hot chocolates, and cocktails. To top it off, they also offer an amazing brunch.

2. Blackbird Doughnuts, Tremont Street, Boston.

Blackbird Doughnuts is the only artisanal donut shop in Boston that bakes their donuts on site They also aim to use as many natural and locally grown ingredients as possible. What to try there? The maple bacon donut.

3. Mike’s Pastry, Boston.

Mike’s Pastry was started in Boston’s Historic North End, but now there are locations throughout the city. Although they have many pastries to chose from, their cannolis are what they are known for. They have flavors you wouldn’t even think of.

4. Georgetown Cupcakes, Newbury Street, Boston.

Georgetown Cupcakes obviously originated in D.C. Their cupcakes are baked on site daily and they use ingredients like Valrhona chocolate, Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla, and European sweet cream butter.

5. Emack & Bolio’s, Newbury Street, Boston.

Are you an ice cream connoisseur? This is the place for you. They have many locations, not just in Boston, but the only that I went to was on Newbury Street and it was the best ice cream/cone I have ever eaten. The best part, in my opinion, was the cone, where they have different mellow covered cones with Oreos, Rice Krispies, Fruit Loops, or Fruity Pebbles. They can also put sprinkles on it (sprinkles, jimmies, whatever).

6. Tatte Bakery, Beacon Street, Brookline.

Tatte Bakery is convenient for BU students as it is close to the campus. If you are looking for sweet and savory, look no further than Tatte Bakery. They are famous for their Nut Boxes.

7. Modern Pastry, Hanover Street, Boston.

Modern Pastry has two locations, one in the North End and one in Medford. They are a family owned and operated bakery. They specialize in cookies, cakes, pastries, and pies. Luckily you have options when it comes to the best dessert places in Boston.

Athans has an incredible assortment of items that it is hard to choose just one! The place is very cozy so a lot of people like to get work/homework done there.
