10 Of The Best Cocktails To Help You Make It Through Quarantine

With the mandatory quarantine keeping us all at home, we’ve all just about reached our patience limit. If you’ve officially run out of f**ks to give, check out this list of ten quarantine-approved cocktails to help you mellow out (or you know, just get plain hammered) during your quarantine stint.

1) Limoncello Spritzer

If bubbly, fruity drinks are your fave, try making this limoncello spritzer. It’s fizzy and fun, and it makes for the perfect cocktail to sip on during your time in close quarters with the fam. To make this delightful drink, use a measuring cup (or a jigger if you’re fancy enough to own one) to measure out all the ingredients. You will need 2 oz of limoncello, 3 oz of prosecco, and an ounce of club soda. Stir all these ingredients together, and enjoy!

2) Raspberry Lemonade Cocktail

Due to the fact that we are no longer allowed to leave our houses accept for emergencies and necessities, the easier the cocktail recipe the better! This cocktail is made with ingredients that you already probably have at home, so it won’t warrant a trip to the store and risk any in-necessary exposure. All you need to make this delicious quarantine cocktail is Malibu rum and raspberry lemonade (plain lemonade works good too, if you don’t have raspberry). Mix an ounce of Malibu rum for every 8 ounces of raspberry lemonade. That’s all you need, and BAM! Your quarantine just got a bit more interesting.

3 ) Key Lime Pie Slushie

If you’re suffering from a serious case of spring fever and can’t hit the beach for, you know, obvious reasons, bring the beach to you with this super sweet quarantine slushie. To make this slushie, you’re going to need 13 key limes, 3 cups of ice and a cup of coconut rum. Juice 10 limes, and slice the remaining three. Add the lime juice and one diced (and seeded) lime into a blender with the cup of coconut rum. Blend all together until you get a slushy consistency. Slice your last two limes and use them to garnish your slushie!

4) Cherry Bomb

If you want to take your quarantine up a notch and have a house party for one, try out this cocktail! To make a cherry bomb, you will need 3/4 cup fresh cherries (or whatever you have, we can’t afford to be picky at the moment), 1 ounce of bourbon, 1/3 a teaspoon of maple syrup, a teaspoon of vanilla extract. a teaspoon of lemon juice, ice cubes and club soda. Cut 1/3 of a cup of the cherries, and place them in a glass and pour the bourbon on top of the cherries, then pour the vanilla in as well. Follow the vanilla with the maple syrup and the lemon juice. Use the end of a thick wooden spoon to mush the cherries together with the liquids in the bottom of your glass. Crush up your ice cubes, and fill your glass with ice. Pour in the club soda and use a spoon to mix together the club soda with the cherries at the bottom of the glass. And there you have it!

5) Kahlua Mudslide

Since it currently feels like the earth is coming up from beneath us (like a mudslide), we felt this cocktail was appropriately themed for your quarantine drink list. To make this cocktail, you’ll need ice cream (don’t you wish all drinks listed ice cream as an ingredient?), Kahlua, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry to top it all off. Start by adding a cup of ice cream (either vanilla or chocolate) to a blender, with a healthy dose of Kahlua. blend together until creamy. Coat the outside of your glass with a hefty amount of chocolate syrup, and pour in your blended mixtre. Top it all off with whipped cream and a cherry, and enjoy!

6) Sour Gummy Worm Slush

Sometimes we all just wanna feel like little kids again. This cocktail is made using one of our favorite candies- sour gummy worms! To make this lip-puckering slush, you’ll need 2 ounces of coconut rum, 1 1/2 ounces of blue curacao, 6 ounces of pineapple juice, a cup of ice and, of course, a bag of sour gummy worms! Combine the rum, curacao, pineapple juice and ice into a blender and blend together until you’ve made a slushy. Liberally add the gummy worms, and mix with a spoon.

7) Chocolate White Russian

Okay, so White Russians are normally a holiday drink, but let’s be honest we could all use a little holiday cheer right now. To add a little twist and a little extra indulgence to this classic, we added the single best ingredient in the world: chocolate. If your house does not contain at least one giant bag of chocolate during this quarantine, we will be keeping you in our thoughts. But if you’re anything like us, your house should be stocked with more than enough chocolate to make this cocktail. You’ll need 3 ounces of vodka, 3 ounces of Kahlua, 2 ounces of heavy cream, 2 ounces (at least0 of chocolate syrup and ice. Pour all your ingredients into a shaker with ice, and shake. Pour the mixture into a glass, and drink up! Cheers!
