I aspire to be Carrie Bradshaw. My hair is short and curly. I hope to be a writer one day. And, most importantly, I love fashion. Carrie and the other ladies of Sex and the City defined an era of fashion where putting out the big bucks suddenly became entirely worth it. Making a statement on a Tuesday just ’cause became the norm. I’m not alone in my dreams to keep my money right where I can see it (in my closet!). Here are some of the best Carrie Bradshaw outfits that still inspire me years later!
While this is definitely her most famous look, I don’t think it’s her best. Sure, she looks stunning floating through the crowded New York City streets in this tulle masterpiece, but it doesn’t even come close to some of her other outfits. Still, it makes the top ten of the best Carrie Bradshaw outfits.
When The Russian surprised Carrie with this dress, I’m pretty sure every woman’s heart stopped. He listened!!! But, more than that, it’s a beautiful dress that Carrie rocks.
While this outfit looks a little simple compared to some of Carrie’s other famous SATC looks, this one has a surprise in the back. The metallic green skirt is completed with a big bum ruffle! Leave it to Carrie to surprise us in such a shocking way.
I love Carrie’s casual street style. She really knows how to rock a pant. Her easy-going outfit next to Big’s professional get up really speaks to their relationship dynamic and I’m living for it!
Some of Carrie’s best outfits are from her time spent in Paris with Aleksandr. This is the perfect example of how to mix patterns and make it look trés chic!
The famous newspaper dress. This is way literal, but it totally works! I wouldn’t even be surprised if Carrie could wrap a real newspaper around her and make it look fabulous.
This is definitely an homage to the tulle dress in the opening credits. But, this version is so much more fashion and that’s why it’s #4 on this list!
Why couldn’t Carrie have worn this dress on the runway??? It’s so gorgeous on her! It glides over every curve of her amazing body and hugs her just right. No wonder she made the photographer lust over her!
Here’s another gown that could’ve been so much more spectacular had Carrie had the chance to really wear it! It’s truly a shame that Aleksandr stood her up and left Carrie alone look so dang beautiful.
I would kill to look this good! Do you see Carrie’s legs?! This outfit will seriously never go out of style. From the figure-hugging dress to the aviators, this is undoubtedly the best Carrie has ever looked.
