The 10 Best Books To Read By The Pool This Summer

The only better place to read a book than by the fire is outside in the sun by the pool. Here are the 10 best books to read by the pool this summer that you will not want to miss out on.

You Me Everything by Catherine Isaac.

Jess takes her ten-year-old son William to France to try to bond the two together. A story filled with hope and heartbreak, determination and love, family and romance.

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng.

A story of a Chinese American family living in 1970s small-town Ohio. When Lydia, the favorite daughter is found dead, the balancing act that holds the Lee family together is wrecked.

Before We Were Yours: A Novel by Lisa Wingate.

Based on a true story, this story focuses on both past and present as the author unravels the Georgia Tann scandal in which children were kidnapped and sold to rich families all over the country.

The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory.

For something a little lighter to add to your list, a rom-com about a chance encounter in an elevator, a wedding date, and plenty of romantic stumbling through the book.

Right Behind You by Lisa Gardner.

Definitely read this one out in the sunlight, because I got chills just hearing about it. A thriller about protective (albeit murderous) older brother, an adoptive father, and a young girl who isn’t sure about where the danger is coming from next.

Circe by Madeline Miller.

Dive into a fantastic tale of mythology brought to life. Circe, enemy of both men and gods, must choose whether to wield her power in favor of the gods she was born to or the mortals whom she loves.

Sea Prayer by Khaled Hosseini.

Author of The Kite Runner, Hosseini pays tribute to the millions of refugee families whose lives have been torn apart by violence. This story is written in the form of a letter from father to son as the father reflects on the dangerous journey that lies in front of them.
