10 Beauty Uses For Green Tea

Here are 10 beauty uses for green tea. Whether it be through hair masks, or face masks incorporating green tea into your daily diet or self-care routine will make the world’s difference, not only to how you feel but to how you look as well.

1. Drinking it

Drinking green tea is one of the best ways to get all the benefits out of it. It’s known for being one of the healthiest beverages on the planet because of it’s natural properties.

Loaded with antioxidants and nutrients, green tea is known for aiding in weight loss, promoting clearer skin, and improving your digestive system. It boosts your metabolic system and reduces the chance of breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colorectal cancer. Because of it’s bioactive compounds, it protects the brain from old again for Alzheimer’s later on. You can drink it by brewing a herbal green tea bag into water, or you can get the loose powder green tea, for example matcha.

2. Cooling Toner

Make yourself some green tea, and then let it cool. Take 1/4 of the green tea and mix it with 1/2 a cucumber you just blended. Pour it into a spray bottle, and there you have an easy natural toner that’s taking advantage of all the benefits of green tea. This is sure to give you a radiant glow while improving skin texture. Keep it stored in the fridge so it has a cooling effect when sprayed on the face

3. Herbal Toner

Brew a cup of green tea, and let it cool. After it’s cooled, take the tea bag out and rub it along your entire face. This allows the herbs and plants in the tea bag to really secrete their nutrients straight into your pores. You can then proceed to use the tea for whatever else you want. This puts not only the brewed tea, but also the tea bag to great use

4. Boost To You Cleanser

This involves using the loose powder version of green tea. Whether you’re washing your face at night or in the morning, before you’re about to slather on your favorite cleanser all over your face, add one teaspoon of the green tea powder. Mix it all together in your hands and then rub it into your face. Instead of washing it off right away, let it sit for ten minutes just to soften those dead skin cells on the surface layer of your skin. Then rinse it off with warm water

5. Acne Spot Treatment

There’s a bunch of chemically produced spot treatments on the market, but it’s difficult to know which one actually works. And on top of that, a majority of ingredients that are in these spot treatments we can’t even pronounce! Which is why this natural spot treatment, not only is effective, but it’s known to be safe for the skin. Brew a cup of green tea and then let it cool for a little bit. Take a Q-tip and dip it into the tea, and then apply it to the areas where you’re breaking out. This will dry out those inflamed breakouts and reduce redness

6. Eye Treatment

This is one of my favorites because you can see the visible results right away. If you had a rough night the night before, and you wake up in the morning with puffy eyes, take two green tea bags and soak them in cold water. After they’ve been soaking for around 10 minutes, place them on your eyes. The coolness from the water, and the inflammatory purposes of green tea will reduce any puffiness in the eyes. After twenty minutes, you can take the few bags off. You’ll be sure to be greeted with a more awake looking version of you.
