8 Autumn Sangria Recipes Perfect For A Big Gathering

These autumn sangria recipes will warm your soul and bring in the best season of them all: Fall! With trees shedding their leaves and hungry ants subsiding from our picnics, it is almost time for drinks that will warm you up and taste just like all of those favorite thanksgiving and fall foods. I’m talking apple cider, cranberry, cinnamon, any and all apple flavors and pies, caramel and you cannot miss pumpkin! With all of these fun ways to mimic delicious autumn flavors, these eight autumn sangria recipes will get your fall started off right! 

1. Cranberry Apple Rosé Sangria

How could you not love the cranberry, apple, cinnamon, and rosé combination for the fall weather? Grab your pitcher because it is time to make some sangria! 

  • You’ll need to start with cutting up your favorite type of apple into slices (green or red works).
  • Add in fresh or frozen cranberries.
  • Pour in some rosé, if you’re on a budget of course that eight dollar rosé will do. But if you’re feeling boujee, well pour in some expensive rosé.
  • Next, you’ll need to add in apple cider, cranberry juice, and Brandy to the pitcher.
  • Put your pitcher in the refrigerator for at least two hours, it will taste just as good if you have the pitcher in the fridge throughout the night.
  • When it’s time to pour your sangria for a night in, then add some cinnamon sticks for some added spice to each glass! And of course, enjoy!

2. Apple Cider Sangria

This apple cider sangria will change the way you usually know sangria. The ingredients for this recipe are a bit different than usual but will warm you up for the fall season all the same! So grab your pitcher, it’s time to make some sangria! 

  • Start by cutting up your fruit: one pear, your favorite apple (it can be green or red!) Also add in some lemons cut into wedges for flavor.
  • You can either add regular whiskey or apple whiskey to the pitcher first. Either one you choose you will start with 1/2 cup to pour into the pitcher.
  • Now for 1/4 cup of Brandy.
  • And of course, get out your apple cider because we’re gonna need two cups for our Apple Cider Sangria!
  • So that the fruit can soak up all the alcohol and apple cider we just poured into the pitcher, store it in the fridge for four hours.
  • When you take it out of the fridge and it is nice and chilled pour in about a cup and 1/2 of the Sparkling Prosecco to the pitcher. Stir it together and you’re ready for some yummy sangria! you can add a cinnamon stick as a garnish along with some pomegranate seeds. Enjoy!

3. Cinnamon Whiskey Sangria

You’re four ingredients closer to a great autumn sangria recipe: Cinnamon Whiskey Sangria! It’ll warm you up to all the great fall flavors and holidays coming quicker than you can say 2020. All you’ll need is a red wine blend, cinnamon whiskey, apple cider, and actual apples. Now, let’s get that sangria going! 

  • Add in your red wine blend, Cinnamon Whiskey and apple cider to taste depending on how strong you want to the drink to come out. Really the question is, how warm do you want to be on a fall night?
  • You may want to add some simple syrup next, but try the sangria without the syrup first before adding.
  • Slice up your favorite apples (green or red) and put them in the pitcher. Place in the fridge to chill for a while (maybe 1-2 hours). When the sangria is chilled to your liking, you may officially serve it and enjoy!

4. Honeycrisp Apple Sangria

Honeycrisp apples are nice and sweet making them the perfect foundation and additive to a great tasting sangria. For this one you’ll need white wine, honey, peach schnapps, seltzer, apple slices (Honeycrisp of course), and cinnamon sticks for the finishing touch when it’s all ready to pour. 

  • Use a lighter white wine like a pinot grigio as a base. Add in the wine, some honey and dashes of peach schnapps to the pitcher. While you’re at it, add in the sliced up Honeycrisp and cinnamon sticks.
  • Let the pitcher sit in a fridge for as long as possible, 2 hours at the least so that the flavors added in with the wine get a chance to mingle and create an amazing fall taste.
  • When the pitcher is just about ready to pour, wet the rim of your glasses with either water or lemon and put a mixture of cinnamon and sugar on the rim of the glass. Add in the sangria and top it off with a bit of seltzer to get a fizzy and cooled down feel to the alcohol taste (a half and half lemon and grapefruit seltzer may do just the trick while adding great taste to the mix).

5. Apple Pie Sangria

But I’m being totally serious when I say, who does not love apple pie during the fall season? a bit of vanilla ice cream with the warm dessert? now that is the best. So why not make it into an amazing sangria drink that you can sip on? Let’s roll out the recipe!

  • Slice up your green or red apples (preferably Honeycrisp as they are sweet and great to taste). You can either slice up a lemon or oranges, but oranges would probably be better and add it to the pitcher.
  • Pour in the whole bottle of Pinot Grigio, or any of your favorite mild white wines, the 1 cup of salted caramel flavored vodka, or you can just use a caramel flavored vodka, whichever one you think is best for your fall tastebuds! Next add in the 3 cups apple cider juice, and 1/4 cup simple syrup.
  • Refrigerate the sangria overnight or for at least 6 hours to make sure all of the flavors get a chance to mingle with one another and sink into the fruits. Take it out the next day, stir and pour adding in a cinnamon stick, as always, for a bit of a spiced up garnish.

6. Caramel Apple Sangria

This recipe is easy to make and one of the best for an introduction to fall flavors! The prep time should only take about ten minutes and then the drink is best refrigerated overnight or for at least 6 hours so you can get the most out of this tasteful drink.  

  • Slice up your favorite and juiciest apples and put in the pitcher.
  • Pour in one of your favorite white wines, it could be sweet like Moscato or Reisling or dry like pinot and preferably from a 750 ml bottle. Add caramel vodka and apple cider! You can also add in a bit of fizz to your drink by adding in sparkling apple cider instead of the regular flat one.
  • Chill the pitcher in the refrigerator before serving or add in some ice cubes if you would like to get to it right this minute!

7. Harvest Sangria

Prepare yourself for the ultimate autumn sangria recipe with apple, pear, ginger and cinnamon spice! 

  • Combine these ingredients for a bit of a spicy apple cider taste:
    • 2 cups of apple cider
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 1 inch slice of fresh ginger
    • 2 cinnamon sticks
    • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
    • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or allspice
  • Mix together the above ingredients with these mixed sangria ingredients:
    • 1 bottle of dry white wine (the spicy apple cider ingredients will act as the sweetener).
    • 1/2 cup ginger brandy or bourbon
    • 2 cinnamon sticks
    • 2 Honeycrisp apples (chopped or sliced)
    • 1 Granny smith apple (chopped or sliced)
    • 2 pears chopped or sliced
    • 1 cup club soda for fizz (add this in when you’re ready to serve so that it won’t lose its fizziness).
  • Mix everything together for some great fall sangria taste. Chill the pitcher overnight for the best results. Pull out the pitcher the next day and you’re ready for serving!

8. Pumpkin Pie Sangria

If you’re not an apple pie fan then the pumpkin pie sangria would be a perfect substitute! Look below for the ingredients and recipe to this sweet and addicting pumpkin pie sangria recipe! 

  • 1 bottle sweet moscato
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin pie mix
  • 24 oz goya mango juice
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch schnapps (or pumpkin pie or whipped cream flavored vodka).
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 large apple sliced
  • 1 orange sliced
  • Mix up all the ingredients and let them sit in the pitcher overnight for the best results the next day!
