Be on the look out for deals, especially if you have a of a bit too pricey item that you’re craving! If it’s a designer item you’re after, why not shop secondhand? It’s the same product for as little as half the price sometimes! Look into authentic re-seller websites such as Vestiaire Collective, where your dream handbag could be just around the corner!
The best times to shop are during the Christmas sales like Black Friday. Make sure to sign up for boutiques that you like and you can get discounts! Always be on the lookout.

Faux fur is cheaper than actual fur and you aren’t hurting animals either! Faux fur can elevate any plain outfit and turn you into the glam girl you’ve always wanted to be. Oversized sunglasses will always be fashionable, and are a great way to dress nice on a budget, even if it’s dollar store glasses! Sunglasses go well with everything and gives you an aura of mystery, after all- who exactly is that girl underneath the glasses?

Dressing bougie requires eye catching pieces and chunky necklaces do just that. You want to look like you’re dripping in gold (or silver) hence, you need to accessorize! Buy large earrings, chunky necklaces, huge bracelets. They can be found cheap at stalls, the accessories section at H&M, glassons and most boutique stores and definitely at Lovisa. There’s no need to break the bank when there are so many affordable options waiting for you.

Thrift stores, Op-Shops, or whatever you may call them, are your best friends! They may not be glamorous but surely there are loads of hidden gems waiting to be picked up. You can always find great steals and who knows, even a few secondhand designer pieces too.

Looking bougie isn’t just about the perfect outfit, it’s how you pull off a look altogether and make-up has the power to make or break a look. Know which colors suit well on you and always go for bold looks. After all, do you ever see people on the red carpet with a natural look? Pull out your golden eyeshadow, your highlighter and get to work. Make-up can cost a lot though so check out affordable makeup brands.

Sometimes a broke girl just has to DIY it up. Glue guns can transform any boring outfit into something entirely new. Do you have jeans that are too bland that you just don’t wear anymore? Why not get a glue gun and bedazzle your jeans? Do you have old shirts that need revamping? Why not sew in a sticker or iron on a patch on and give it your own original flare?
10. Confidence!
Your outfit and looks can only take you so far, you will need confidence and lots of it! Improve your posture, make eye contact and carry yourself in high esteem and people will follow.
