10 Oktoberfest Outfits For Inspiration
"Hi! My name is Vicki and I am currently studying…
In case you weren’t aware, the month is October and, as the name suggested, this is the time of year that Oktoberfest takes place! Oktoberfest is a worldwide festival which celebrates all things Germany (but mainly beer and funny outfits)! I had a few friends who went to the Australian Oktoberfest celebrations and I loved their outfits! This encouraged me to find 10 (sometimes odd) Oktoberfest outfits for inspiration.
1. Traditional blue
Why not pair up, or even get a group together, and all wear blue! It is a cute way to have the perfect vibe for your Instagram pictures!
2. Matching traditional with mixed colours
Or, why not mix it up with the traditional look, but in a range of colours? Head to your local costume shop and find almost identical looks, like this example of red and blue!
3. Matching Couple
Go one step further with a couple look! Matching female and male costumes would just make for the cutest photo memories.
4. Plus size
Some costume shops cater for all shapes and sizes. So, make sure to check out your local store for any plus size options.
5. Homemade outfit for a boy
For a cheaper option, why not pair overalls with a dress shirt? Do this, and you are good to go! If you want to take it a step further, you could even decorate the overalls!
6. Girl non-traditional
Who says girls have to wear dresses? Why not mix it up with a short variety of Oktoberfest wear?
7. Beer
Take it even further and commit to the German theme by dressing as a beer. That’s right, find yourself a beer costume and get to your nearest Oktoberfest celebration.
8. Pretzel
If you can dress as a beverage, there are no limits as to what else you can dress as! Try and find a pretzel costume for the ultimate food outfit…
9. Schnitzel
But wait, I said the ultimate look for food was the pretzel… I take that back! Here is the real winner- a schnitzel! Need I say more?
10. Bratwurst dog
How is it fair that only us humans get the opportunity to dress up and celebrate Oktoberfest? Let your dog in to some of the fun, and dress him or her as a Bratwurst dog! You will sure be the talk of the town!
As you can see there are some pretty cool outfit ideas for Oktoberfest (some a little more traditional than others). Hopefully this has inspired you for your Oktoberfest celebrations! Let me know what you have dressed up as!
