As 2017 draws to a close, it is the perfect time to reflect on the jewellery trends over the past 12 months. There have been some hits and some misses (in my opinion), but, without further ado, let’s have a look at the top 10 jewellery trends of 2017!
1. Keep up the up-cycling
This one is definitely thinking outside the hoop (get it?), and I think it makes for some pretty cool, unique looks! The picture below has inspired me to try making earrings out of Starburst wrappers… I’ll keep you updated.

For anyone who knows me, they know I love a good monogram. Whether that comes in the form of a wallet accessory or a necklace, I think monograms are classy and are fantastic for those heartfelt gift ideas.

This one is ideal for a night out when you have gone for a simple dress and are looking to spice up your look with a statement piece. You are basically guaranteed to get comments on this different style of jewellery!

This is one of those trends where I feel you either love it or hate it…. I have to admit I may lean towards the latter. Regardless of my opinion, the mixing and matching of statement earrings is very on trend right now!

When I saw this photo, it was just one of those moments where you go ‘wow’! I think these styles of necklaces are absolutely stunning and make for an ideal present for a loved one. How could you not fall in love with these?

This one is something a little different, just going for something that no one else could possibly have! You could make it yourself using something that holds meaning to you, or just head to your nearest op shop and search for something a little unusual.

This is something we often hear when it comes to fashion, and often it’s true. If you want the dress or outfit you are wearing to be the statement, try pairing it with something more reserved so it just completes the look rather than overwhelming it.

This is one of the sweetest trends I have seen this year, and one that I have definitely taken part in. Leaves or flowers make the cutest jewellery trends, and the options are endless.
