One of the most annoying things about being a female are the ridiculous beauty standards set for us. One of these standards is body hair removal from practically every part (except for our head)! Whilst there are many different avenues you can go down to stay ‘hairless’, the one I will be looking into throughout this article is laser hair removal. This is when you get your hair follicles destroyed by constant pulses of laser light. I did some research and put together 10 reasons to consider laser hair removal.
This method of hair removal is ideal for preventing and eliminating ingrown hairs. It is also a good alternative for those with sensitive skin, caused by waxing and shaving. It’s one of the legit reasons to consider laser hair removal.
Having this procedure means no more having to shave almost every day! Take a second to think how much time you have already wasted in your life standing in the shower shaving those damn legs. This is one of the top reasons to consider laser hair removal.
Unlike waxing, which can cause a girl to shiver just at the thought of it, laser is a lot less painful to start with! And the best bit? It gets progressively less painful over time as the hair becomes thinner.
As laser is a more permanent solution, there is less chance you have to spend more on other hair products such as razors or wax. Furthermore, after just a few sessions the hair is already a lot finer and thus can go untouched for a longer period.
This one is pretty self-explanatory but, if you have been struggling with your undesired hair taking a toll on your self-confidence, laser hair removal can help you regain that by providing an alternative!
Somewhat tying in with my first point, using laser to remove hair follicles means that ingrown hairs cannot occur, which is great for all-round body confidence!
As this method is destroying the targeted hair follicles, when they grow back they are much finer and it becomes increasingly easy to remove them, to the point where shaving is no longer necessary! Hooray!
Because of the permanency of this method, it means that you don’t have to worry about spending a lot of time on the hair removal alternatives of waxing and shaving. It also only takes a short amount of time for the actual procedure, so you won’t have to worry about taking hours out of your day to get this done.
This method of hair removal is great for targeting only the areas that you want removed. It can select only the dark, coarse hair and leave the surrounding skin untouched.
As all the previous points have explained, laser hair removal has the best results. It is practically permanent, time-saving and cost-effective in the long run.
I would love to hear from you if you have been considering laser hair removal, and what has been stopping you. Also, let me know if you have had laser hair removal done, I would love to hear about your experience!
