Finding your first apartment doesn’t have to be stressful. I’ve narrowed down ten apartments in Chicago worth checking out. Happy hunting!

1. 5727 N. Winthrop Ave.

Located in Edgewater, this studio is perfect for people making between $30,000 to $40,000 yearly. At $965 a month, you don’t have to sacrifice location for cost as you’re right down the street from the lake and the red line. All utilities are included, and you can be downtown in half an hour. The rich mix of culture makes this a welcoming place for everyone. Make Edgewater your first home with this option!

2. 2102 W. Ainslie St.

Studio apartment located in Ravenswood near the Damen brown line. Hardwood floors throughout, a spacious kitchen and newly renovated bathroom are the defining perks of this pick! At $1,095 a month, it’s a great choice if you’re making around $40,000 a year.
