10 Anticipated Movies That Were Pushed Back Due To Coronavirus

With Coronavirus causing a standstill on everything around the world, the latest things to take a hit is the movie industry. Here are 10 anticipated movies that were pushed back due to the Coronavirus. 

A Quiet Place Part 2

The anticipated sequel to A Quiet Place was originally scheduled for release in the end of March, but now because of the Coronavirus, it will now be released on September 4, 2020. The sequel is taking us back into the terrifying world where even the slightest sound can summon evil human eating monsters. This new installment follows the Abbott family following the aftermath of the first movie after they try to find safety in a world of danger. This new movie follows both the past of when the first attacks occurred and the present, where the family is now.i truly believe that this movie will so be the be worth the wait!

Black Widow

The newest Black Widow movie has been the latest marvel movie buzz, leaving superhero fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation. The movie was originally to be released in May, but has now been pushed back to November 6, 2020. This movie follows international spy Natasha Romanov, giving viewers a big look into her origin story, where Black Widow really came to be. The cast alone is just enough to tell us that this movie is worth the wait. Black Widow stars Scarlett Johanson, Rachel Weis, David Harbour, and Flourence Pough, I mean it cant get much better than that!

Mulan

The latest Disney remake, Mulan, has been a source of a lot of hype for Disney fans, but sadly we are going to have to wait a little longer till we see the famous warrior Mulan on the big screen. The movie was set to release in March and is now pushed back to release in July 24, 2020. This movie does not include the beloved Disney songs from the original, but I think that this is going to be a very powerful film for women everywhere. Thankfully, you wont have to wait too much longer for the release of this movie.

Wonder Woman 1984

The sequel to Woman Women has been a movie that I have been patiently waiting for a while now and sadly we will have to wait just a little bit longer for this movie. The movie was set to release in June 2020, but has now been pushed back to release in  August 14, 2020. So, the waiting wont be too much longer, which is okay because I think that this movie is going to be completely worth the wait. Wonder woman is back, in this second film and is now fighting evil in the 80s.

The New Mutants

This new marvel film about a new band of mutants has been a highly anticipated film that was set to be released almost two years ago. Now, the movie was finally set to release this summer, but now things seem to be pretty up in the air. There is no definite release date now currently for this movie, but it does say that it is set to be released in 2020. Hopefully, this new movie will finally gets its release this year because I know a lot of people are eager for its release.

Multiple Marvel Films

As many marvel fans know, the company recently showcased their Phase four installment of movies that they have planned to release within the next two to three years. Due to the coronavirus production on the films has come to a standstill, causing the releases to get pushed back for these films, pushing them back about one to years. Some of these movies include, the newest Doctor Strange, Thor Love and Thunder, the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie, the second Black Panther movie, and the second Captain Marvel movie. So sad news for Marvel fans, as they will have to wait just a little bit longer for these anticipated releases.

Fantastic Beasts 3

The Fantastic Beast saga, which is a prequel to the Harry Potter films, has been the newest release of movies in the Wizarding World. Sadly, with the coronavirus the production on the film has come to a complete halt, causing the newest movie to be pushed back. The movie was set to release in November in 2021, but now with production at a standstill it can only be assumed that the release date may be pushed back to November 2022. Fans will just have what a little bit longer for this next movie, but I am confident that it will be worth the wait.

In the Heights

Min Manuel Mirandas musical In the Heights is finally coming to the big screen, just not as soon as we hoped. The movie was originally set to release this June, but is now pushed back a whole year making the release date June 26, 2021. As someone that has been patiently waiting for this movie to come out, I have to say that I am very disappointed. With this said, I think that this movie is going to be a complete masterpiece, making the wait worth it.

Morbius

Morbius is the latest marvel movie that is built within the world of spiderman and venom. The antihero movie was originally set to release in July this year, but now due to coronavirus will be pushed back to release in 2021. This movie looks very promising, if you are a fan of venom then I think that you will be a fan of Morbius. The movie follows a scientist that is looking for a cure for himself, ending up infecting himself with a form of vampirism. This movie is definitely going to be worth the wait!

The Batman

The newest batman movie that is starring Robert Pattinson has been the center of a lot of buzz. Fans have been very excited for this very anticipated remake of batman. The movie was set to release in the summer of 2021, but is now pushed to October 1, 2021. I think that this movie is definitely going to be worth the wait, a lot of people are very excited about its release.
